Torino team header graphic featuring team branding and ticket information for upcoming games.
Torino FC, born in 1906 from the merger of FC Torinese with a group of breakaway Juventus members, finished the 2025-26 Serie A season in 13th place with 45 points (12 wins, 9 draws, 17 losses). Head coach Marco Baroni, hired in the summer of 2025 on a two-year contract, was sacked on 23 February 2026 after a 0-3 defeat to Genoa, with the team close to the relegation zone at the time. His successor Roberto D'Aversa took over the same day and guided Torino to a comfortable safety. Since 1 July 2026, Ignazio Abate, a former AC Milan defender, has been in charge of the team on a contract until 30 June 2028. The captain's armband is worn by Duván Zapata. In the Coppa Italia, Torino beat AS Roma 3-2 in the round of 16 at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, before being knocked out in the quarter-finals by Inter Milan 1-2. The Derby della Mole against Juventus ended goalless 0-0 in the first leg, and in the return match, on the final matchday, 24 May 2026, the two sides shared a 2-2 draw at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino, with kick-off delayed by an hour after clashes between ultras groups outside the stadium. Torino play their home matches in the Santa Rita district, in a stadium with a particularly strong history and a capacity of about 27,958. Book all your Torino tickets for the 2026-2027 season safely online at Livefootballtickets.com. We currently have 2485 tickets available for all Torino matches, with prices starting from just $37 and an average price of $158. I was first hesitant about buying tickets through a website I hadn't heard of but I was very pleased with the service from LiveFootballTickets. I bought a reasonably priced ticket to the Arsenal v Manchester City Community Shield match and it was delivered the next day and successfully saved to wallet without any problems. On matchday the ticket scanning worked just fine and I was able to see a memorable match in my home city. Great booking experience! Highly recommended for football events

Stadium Information

Name:

Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino

Capacity:

approximately 27,958 seats

Address:

Via Filadelfia 96/b, 10134 Turin, Italy

Club:

Torino FC

Description:

The Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino sits in the Santa Rita district, in the south-central part of Turin, close to the historic Stadio Filadelfia, the true birthplace of the club. Originally designed for around 65,000 spectators, the stadium was thoroughly renovated and reduced in size for the 2006 Winter Olympics, with the aim of creating a more modern and compact football experience. Since April 2016 it has carried the name "Grande Torino" in tribute to the legendary 1940s side. Not only the renovation itself, also its UEFA Category 4 rating, the highest possible, underlines the current standard of the facilities. For Torino fans, the Curva Maratona is their own end, while away supporters are housed in a separate section of the Curva Primavera. You will feel the weight of this ground's history as soon as you head towards the stands for the first time.

The name Curva Maratona comes from the free-standing marathon tower outside the stadium, originally used for athletics events. Also the Tribuna Granata, with its boxes, and the Tribuna Ferrini recall the club's long history, while the Distinti Ovest is traditionally reserved for journalists and VIP guests. Because of the compact design that came out of the 2006 renovation, you sit close to the pitch from any stand, a feature that sets a matchday here apart from the experience in larger grounds.

Best Ways to Reach the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino

Once your Torino tickets are booked, it is time to work out how to get to the stadium. The city of Turin recommends public transport on matchdays, not least because parking around the stadium is limited. Not only by tram, also by bus and bicycle you can reach the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino without any trouble. It can be a bit of stressful to plan the route the first time, but once you have done it, you will get used to it quickly. Here are your options:

By Train

Torino Porta Nuova is the city's main station, with high-speed connections to Milan, Rome and Genoa. From the station, tram line 4 towards Drosso takes you in about 13 to 15 minutes to the Filadelfia stop, just a short walk from the stadium. Also from Torino Porta Susa station, you reach the city centre within minutes, from where you can continue on to the stadium.

By Bus

From the city centre, several GTT bus lines, including 10, 14 and 63, serve the area around the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino, with the Agnelli Est and Sebastopoli stops a few minutes' walk from the main entrances. Extra services run on matchdays, both towards the stadium before kick-off and back into the city centre after the final whistle. Depending on traffic, the ride from central Turin takes between 15 and 20 minutes. During the bigger Serie A matches, when the stadium is close to full, the return buses tend to get quite crowded right after the final whistle, so it helps to build in a little extra time for that.

By Bicycle

Turin is an increasingly bike-friendly city, and a well-developed network of cycle paths gets you from the historic centre to the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino in about 20 to 25 minutes. You will find bike racks near the stadium.

By Car

Turin is well served by the A4 motorway (Milan-Turin), the A6 (towards Savona) and the Tangenziale Sud, all meeting close to the city centre. From the city centre, the stadium is about 4 kilometres away via Corso Unione Sovietica, a trip of roughly 15 to 20 minutes outside rush hour. Those coming from Milan take the A4 straight towards Turin and then follow signs for the Stadio Olimpico. Paid parking can be found in the areas near the stadium, and on matchdays stewards help manage traffic close to the ground. After the final whistle, leaving the area can be a bit of stressful. Not only around the stadium itself, also on the approach roads, traffic can stay heavy for a while after a big match. Those who arrive early tend to get the best parking spots and an easier exit once the game is over.

The Stands of the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino

The Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino is divided into four main areas: the Curva Maratona, the Curva Primavera, the Tribuna Granata and the Distinti Ovest. During Torino home matches, the Curva Maratona is the club's own end, while away fans are housed in a separate section of the Curva Primavera. You will never feel like you are watching the match from far away, whichever stand you are seated in, since the compact design from the 2006 renovation keeps even the furthest seats close to the action. This is also one of the reasons a matchday at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino feels so special. Not only the home end, also the away section sits close enough to make you feel part of the match.

Curva Maratona

The Curva Maratona, named after the free-standing marathon tower outside the stadium, is Torino's own end, the area where the club's most loyal fans gather behind the goal for the full 90 minutes. You will find the best atmosphere in the stadium here, with a constant wall of noise, flags and chanting when Torino play at home. It can be a bit of stressful for someone who has never experienced an Italian curva before, all that noise so close by, but if you want to feel what Torino really means to this city, you will have a very special experience in the Curva Maratona.

Curva Primavera

On the opposite side of the pitch sits the Curva Primavera, named after the club's youth teams, where a section is reserved for away fans during Torino home matches. Away supporters travelling to a Torino match at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino are placed here, generally in the blocks close to the Distinti Est. The view from here is good, if a little side-on, and you still get a clear picture of the whole pitch.

Tribuna Granata

The Tribuna Granata runs along one side of the pitch and houses the boxes, the tribune of honour and the premium seats known as "Grande Torino" in tribute to the legendary 1940s side. From here you get a clear side-on view of the whole pitch, and this is where most of the stadium's hospitality areas are located. Tickets here usually rank among the most expensive in the stadium.

Distinti Ovest

Directly opposite the Tribuna Granata sits the Distinti Ovest, traditionally reserved for press and VIP guests, but now also a popular choice for families and first-time visitors. From here you get a very good view of everything happening on the pitch, spread across several tiers. Tickets in the Distinti Est on the opposite side are generally a little cheaper, while the view is almost identical. Also for a group visiting Turin for the first time, this stand is usually a comfortable and relaxed choice.

Which Stand Should You Choose?

We have created this table so you can compare the four sections of the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino at a glance. Look at what matters most to you, and you will find the right section.

Priority Best Stand Why
Best atmosphere Curva Maratona Torino's own end, flags and chants, loudest part of the stadium for the full 90 minutes
Best view Tribuna Granata Centrale Side-on views, closest to the technical areas and players' tunnel
First-time visitors Distinti Ovest Wide choice of seats, good overall view, easy access via tram line 4
Families with children Distinti Est, lower tier Calmer than the Curva Maratona, comfortable seats, dedicated family area
Small budget Curva Maratona, upper tier Cheaper than the main stands, with a full view of the pitch
Singing and standing Curva Maratona Expect to stand, sing and join the ultras for the full 90 minutes
Away supporters Curva Primavera (away section) Separate entrance, full view of the pitch, close to the Distinti Est
Premium comfort Tribuna Granata hospitality Boxes, padded seats, best stadium service

Club History

Torino FC was founded in 1906 from the merger of FC Torinese with a group of breakaway Juventus members, and has carried the maroon colour that gave the club its nickname, "I Granata", ever since. Not only its founding year makes Torino one of the oldest clubs in Italy, also its seven Scudetti underline the club's historic importance. Six of those titles, 1942-43, 1945-46, 1946-47, 1947-48 and 1948-49, belong to the era of the legendary "Grande Torino" side led by captain Valentino Mazzola, after the first Scudetto had already been celebrated in 1927-28. The seventh and, to this day, most recent title came in 1975-76. Also this piece of football history still shapes the club's identity today.

No chapter in the club's history weighs heavier than 4 May 1949. On that day, the Fiat G.212 aircraft carrying the entire Grande Torino squad home from a friendly in Lisbon crashed, in thick fog, into the Basilica of Superga, in the hills above Turin. All 31 people on board, including the full starting eleven led by captain Valentino Mazzola, died. The club, which had just won five consecutive championships, had to play out the rest of the season with its youth team. To this day, Superga is the club's central place of remembrance, and every year on 4 May, fans make a pilgrimage to the basilica to honour the memory of the team. Also outside Turin, this disaster is regarded as one of the greatest tragedies in European football history.

The 2025-26 season was an eventful one. Head coach Marco Baroni, hired in the summer of 2025 on a two-year contract, was sacked after a 0-3 defeat to Genoa on 23 February 2026, with the team close to the relegation zone at the time. Roberto D'Aversa took over the same day and steadily guided Torino to safety and a 13th-place finish. It can be a bit of stressful to go through a season with a coaching change in the middle of the second half, but the 2026-2027 campaign under Ignazio Abate, the new head coach since 1 July 2026 on a contract until 2028, builds on the lessons of that season. In the Coppa Italia, Torino beat AS Roma 3-2 in the round of 16, before being knocked out in the quarter-finals by Inter Milan 1-2.

Torino and the City of Turin

Turin is a city of around 850,000 people in Piedmont, the historic birthplace of the Italian car industry and the first capital of unified Italy. Football sits at the centre of daily life in this city, and Torino, despite Juventus's greater international fame, is seen as the city's original football club. Also the whole Piedmont region follows the club closely, since Turin is regarded beyond its city limits as the industrial centre of the region.

Turin is also a city with a proud, independent identity, shaped by the historic rivalry between the city's two clubs, a feeling that has marked the club's fans for generations. On matchdays, the streets around the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino fill with fans in maroon, and the walk from the city centre along Corso Unione Sovietica to the stadium has become part of the ritual for generations of Turin supporters. Also the bars around Piazza Vittorio Veneto fill up quickly before kick-off, so if you want a table, it helps to arrive a little early.

Famous Players

Torino have produced some of the greatest names in Italian football history over the decades. Valentino Mazzola, captain of the Grande Torino, is still regarded as one of the greatest Italian footballers of all time and died in the Superga disaster in 1949. Paolo Pulici, with 172 goals in all competitions between 1968 and 1982, is the club's all-time top scorer and formed a fearsome attacking duo with Francesco Graziani known as "i gemelli del gol", the goal twins. Not only the forwards, also Torino's defenders, from Giorgio Ferrini to more recent captains, have their own long list of legends. Also the club's more recent history, with players like Andrea Belotti, who defined an era as both scorer and captain, is part of the names fans still mention with pride today.

Torino Honours and Titles

Torino have won 7 Scudetti, along with 5 Coppa Italia titles. Also this is an achievement fans can be very proud of. Not only historically, also through the tragedy and rebuilding that followed 1949, Torino rank among the most identity-defining clubs in Italy. That is an impressive trophy haul for a club that has lived for decades in the shadow of its city rival. Affordable and premium tickets for Torino in Serie A and Coppa Italia are now available on Livefootballtickets.com.

Scudetti:

7 (1927-28, 1942-43, 1945-46, 1946-47, 1947-48, 1948-49, most recently 1975-76)

Coppa Italia titles:

Torino Rivalries

Main Rivalry

The Rivalry with Juventus

The most intense rivalry in Torino's world is the clash with Juventus, known as the Derby della Mole in reference to the Mole Antonelliana, the landmark building that looms over both clubs. It is one of the oldest city derbies in Italy, with roots going back to Torino's very founding, when a group of Juventus members broke away and merged with FC Torinese to form the new club. Not only the shared city, also the opposing social bases, with Torino seen by many locals as the true club of the working-class city, while Juventus is historically linked to Fiat's Agnelli family, gives this fixture its particular intensity. It can be a bit of stressful for an outsider to fully understand this rivalry, given how deep the emotions run on both sides of the city.

In the 2025-26 season, the first meeting ended goalless 0-0 at the Allianz Stadium in November 2025. The return match, on the final matchday, 24 May 2026, at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino, finished 2-2, after a brace from Dušan Vlahović for Juventus and a double equaliser for Torino through Cesare Casadei and Tommy Adams. Kick-off that day was delayed by a full hour, after clashes between ultras groups from both sides outside the stadium. Also beyond Piedmont, this match is followed closely across Italy. You will hear fans from both sides discuss past editions of this fixture for years.

Frequently Asked Questions about Torino Tickets

Frequently Asked Questions about Torino Tickets

Away tickets for Torino are a bit harder to get than home tickets. This is because every Serie A stadium sets aside far more space for home fans than for Torino supporters. We have managed to get Torino tickets for practically every Serie A match. Select the away match you want to see, then check our ticket offer. All our away tickets carry a label. The most common labels for Torino away matches are: Torino section, away zone, away fan section and away end. If the section label here does not match, the tickets are for the home team. Not only the label, also the seating plan next to it shows you exactly where you will be sitting in the stadium. It can be a bit of stressful to figure this out on your own, so feel free to ask our support team if in doubt.
