The Stadio Brianteo has been AC Monza’s home since it opened on 28 August 1988 with a Coppa Italia match against AS Roma. For several years the stadium carried a sponsor name, before officially returning to its traditional name on 1 July 2026, just in time for the start of the new Serie A season. Renovation work since 2019 has brought modern lifts, a full pitchside LED board system and refurbished stand areas. Not only the modern facilities, also the compact design with short walks to the pitch make the Stadio Brianteo one of the more pleasant grounds in Serie A. You will feel how close you are to the pitch the moment you take seat for the first time.
The stadium was even named the best ground in Serie B for the 2025-26 season, recognition for the ongoing investment made by the owning family since Fininvest took over the club in September 2018. Monza has made huge progress since then, both on and off the pitch, working towards a goal the new owners set from the very start: the club’s first ever promotion to Serie A, eventually achieved in 2022.

By Train
Monza’s central station sits in the town centre, around 20 to 25 minutes on foot from the Stadio Brianteo, or a few minutes by bus. Regional trains connect Monza with Milan several times an hour, and the journey itself only takes 12 to 20 minutes depending on the connection. There is also a good rail and bus link from Milan Malpensa Airport into Monza.
By Bus
City bus lines connect central Monza with the area around the Stadio Brianteo, with stops a few minutes’ walk from the main entrances. Extra services are added on matchdays, both towards the stadium before kick-off and back into town afterwards. Depending on traffic, the trip from the centre takes only a few minutes. On the biggest matchdays the return buses fill up quickly once the whistle goes, so it is worth allowing extra time for the trip home.
By Bicycle
Thanks to its many parks, including the large Parco di Monza, the town turns out to be a surprisingly good place to cycle, and the ride from the historic centre to the Stadio Brianteo takes only 15 to 20 minutes. Bicycle racks are available near the stadium.
By Car
Monza is well connected via the A4 motorway as well as the Monza ring road, both linking the town to Milan and the rest of Lombardy. From the town centre, the stadium is only a few minutes away, sitting to the south. Those arriving via the A4 from Milan follow signs for the town centre, then signs for the Stadio Brianteo. Paid parking is available in the areas around the ground, though space is limited on the biggest matchdays. Leaving the area after the final whistle can take a bit of patience, since traffic on the surrounding roads tends to stay heavy for a while after a big match. Those who arrive early get the better parking spots, and also an easier way out afterwards.
The stands at the Stadio Brianteo
The Stadio Brianteo has four main areas: the Curva Pieroni, the Curva Davide Pieri, the Tribuna Center and the Tribuna Est. The Curva Pieroni is the home end on Monza matchdays, while away fans are traditionally placed in a separate part of the Curva Davide Pieri. The stadium’s compact design keeps even the furthest seats close to the pitch, so nobody watches from far away, whichever stand they choose. Curva Pieroni
The Curva Pieroni is the home end, the section where Monza’s most loyal supporters gather behind the goal for the full 90 minutes. Curva Davide Pieri
On the opposite side of the pitch is the Curva Davide Pieri, part of which is set aside for away supporters on Monza home matchdays. The view is good, with a clear sightline over the whole pitch and the Curva Pieroni in the distance. The Tribuna Center runs along one side of the pitch, close to the turf with a direct view down the halfway line. Tribuna Est

Club history
AC Monza was founded on 1 September 1912 as Monza Foot Ball Club, becoming Associazione Calcio Monza the following year after a merger with the football section of Veloce Club Monzese. For decades the club mostly played in the lower divisions of Italian football, until Silvio Berlusconi’s Fininvest holding company took over on 28 September 2018 and changed everything. Alongside veteran executive Adriano Galliani, who had worked closely with Berlusconi for years at AC Milan, the new owners set a clear target: promotion to Serie A, a division the club had never reached.
On 29 May 2022, that first ever promotion to the Italian top flight was finally achieved. After three seasons in Serie A, relegation to Serie B followed at the end of 2024-25. Just one season later, in 2025-26, Monza secured direct promotion again through the play-offs under head coach Paolo Bianco. After a 2-0 away win in the first leg against Catanzaro on 24 May 2026, with goals from Hernani and Caso, a 0-2 home defeat in the second leg on 29 May 2026 at their own Stadio Brianteo was not enough to stop the club going up, since Monza had finished third in the regular season to Catanzaro’s fifth. It was the club’s second promotion to Serie A in its history, again in the month of May, which has become something of a lucky month for the Biancorossi.

Monza sits only around 20 kilometres north of Milan and is the capital of the prosperous Brianza region, known around the world in part for its Formula 1 circuit inside the large Parco di Monza.
