Stadium information
Name:
BMO Stadium
Capacity:
22,000
Address:
3939 South Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, CA 90037, USA
Description:
BMO Stadium opened in 2018 on the site once occupied by the historic Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena, next to the University of Southern California campus and Exposition Park. Its design, built specifically for soccer, with stands set very close to the field, a 34-degree steep tier and a partial roof that makes it very loud, all combine to make it one of the stadiums with the best atmosphere in MLS.
The best way to get to BMO Stadium
Once you have your tickets for an LAFC game, you'll need to work out how to get to the stadium. Here are a few options to help you find the one that suits you best.
By metro
Expo Park/USC station, on the E Line of the metro, is just a short walk from the stadium, connecting it directly with downtown and Santa Monica, making it the best option in a city that's so difficult to get around by car.
By bike
Exposition Park is connected by a bike lane that runs practically alongside the metro line, a very practical option that also has plenty of bike racks at the stadium's entrances.
BMO Stadium guide
BMO Stadium is designed to keep spectators as close to the field as possible, which, combined with the huge turnout of its passionate fanbase, creates a great atmosphere at every game. That's where we come in, as we have tickets for every LAFC game. The stadium is divided into four areas: the West and East Stands and the North and South Ends.
West Stand
This is the stadium's main stand, where practically the whole central section is given over to club or premium areas. Located behind the benches, being a side stand, it's the area with the best panoramic view of the field and the most comfortable seats.
East Stand
This is the other side stand, so it offers the same visibility, though this section has more affordable prices, since it only has one suite in the middle as a premium area. From the upper tier of this section you can see the downtown Los Angeles skyline silhouetted behind the stadium. It's the most recommended choice for those visiting BMO Stadium for the first time.
North End
This is the end where The 3252, the club's supporters' group, is based — one of the best in North America, whose name comes precisely from the number of seats that make up the section. It's a general admission area where all fans stand, making it the section with the cheapest tickets in the venue.
South End
This is the opposite end and the area with the calmest, most family-friendly atmosphere. Its upper tier also has more affordable tickets, making it a great option, since the stadium is designed so that no seat is far from the field.
Which area should you choose?
To help you make the best decision when buying your LAFC tickets, we've put together this short table comparing the areas based on the preferences you might have, so you can enjoy your experience to the fullest.
| Priority | Best area | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Best atmosphere | North End | A standing section where the supporters' group is based, making it the loudest area throughout the game |
| Best visibility | Side stands | As in any stadium, the side stands offer a better view of the whole field. In this case, the best spot is the lower tier |
| First-time visit | East Stand | This is the area with the best balance of price, atmosphere and visibility, and from the upper tier you can see the city skyline |
| Families with children | South End or East Stand | Both areas offer a more relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, while still having excellent amenities |
| Tight budget | End sections and upper corners | The North End is the cheapest, though the corners are priced very similarly. The upper tier of the South End, as well as the East Stand, is also affordable compared to the rest |
| Maximum comfort and exclusivity | West Stand | This section houses the premium clubs, with the stadium's best amenities |

Rivalries
Main rivalry
El Tráfico vs LA Galaxy
El Tráfico is the Los Angeles derby and one of the most intense and high-profile rivalries in MLS. Its name comes from the city's famous, chaotic traffic, and from the use of Spanish among both clubs' fans. The clash against LA Galaxy, a historic club based in Carson, has produced great games ever since the two sides first met in 2018, with thrashings, comebacks and spectacular atmospheres in both stands.
Secondary rivalry
San Diego FC
The arrival of San Diego FC in the league has added a new Southern California derby, sparking rivalry between the teams of two cities separated by little more than two hours by road.
