What our customers say
Don't just take our word for it – here's what soccer fans recently said about their booking with us on Trustpilot:
“Good sellers, even though they didn't give me the exact same seats; the seats were still good. It was the Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea match and my seats were among the away fans – a great atmosphere.”
– ymi I, Trustpilot, October 2025
“We bought our tickets early on Saturday evening, and shortly afterward I received an email about a pending payment, followed by an email confirming the tickets were secured. Another email announced delivery on Tuesday morning: everything was perfect and arrived on time. We were kept excellently informed throughout the whole process. Excellent service from livefootballtickets.com. We had a great night of soccer at the City Ground. I'll book through this service again next time without hesitation. Thank you.”
– Donna Ellis, Trustpilot, June 2025
“Fast delivery after my purchase, barely 4-5 hours before the Arsenal–Nottingham match. Perfect seat, but the price a bit high. I'd trust LiveFootballTickets again for my next last-minute decision to attend a PL match.”
– Tormod Nehemiassen, Trustpilot, August 2023

Stadium information
Name:
City Ground
Capacity:
30,445
Address:
The City Ground, West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2 5FJ, United Kingdom
Description:
The City Ground is one of the oldest and most welcoming stadiums in English soccer, home to Nottingham Forest since 1898. It stands on the banks of the River Trent, just south of the city center, with the Trent Bridge cricket ground as a close neighbor, giving it one of the most distinctive settings in the country. It was here, under Brian Clough, that Forest wrote one of soccer's greatest stories – back-to-back European Cups in 1979 and 1980. Rebuilt in stages over the decades, the stadium has an asymmetric, layered character that is typically and proudly English.
The best way to get to the City Ground
Once your Nottingham Forest tickets are booked, it's time to figure out how to get to the City Ground. The stadium is south of Nottingham city center, across the River Trent. The best way to get there is on foot or by public transit. In this section, we briefly run through all the possible options.
By train
Nottingham station is about 1.5 miles from the City Ground. Walking from the station toward the river takes a little under half an hour. Trains from all over the country serve Nottingham station.
By tram
The NET tram network serves Nottingham and connects the wider area to the city center. There's no stop directly in front of the stadium: your best bet is to take the tram to Nottingham station, then walk from there to the stadium.
By bus
Buses are operated by Nottingham City Transport, with frequent local services toward the City Ground. A trip from the city center usually takes between 15 and 20 minutes. Buses leave from the main stops around Maid Marian Way and the city center.
By car
Parking around the stadium can be very tricky. Even though the stadium is close to several major routes, driving there isn't ideal. The surrounding area is especially congested on matchdays. So we'd advise against coming by car.
City Ground guide
The City Ground has four stands: the Trent End, the Brian Clough Stand, the Peter Taylor Stand, and the Bridgford Stand. Each stand has its own character. That's why we walk you through each one, so you know which stand to book your Nottingham Forest tickets for!
Trent End
Behind one of the goals is the Trent End, the loudest part of the stadium and the home of Forest's most passionate supporters. This two-tier stand, recognizable by its curved roof, is where the chants start and the noise is at its most intense. If you want to be at the heart of the atmosphere, this is the stand for you.
Brian Clough Stand
Along one side of the field stands the imposing two-tier Brian Clough Stand, the largest in the stadium. Built in 1980 and named after the manager who made Forest a champion of Europe, it offers some of the clearest, most elevated views in the stadium, especially from the upper tier, and houses the club's family area.
Peter Taylor Stand
Opposite the Brian Clough Stand is the Peter Taylor Stand, named in honor of Brian Clough's longtime assistant. Formerly the Executive Stand, it houses the directors' box, media facilities, and the bulk of the hospitality spaces and suites, making it the most comfortable place to watch a match.
Bridgford Stand
Behind the goal opposite the Trent End is the two-tier Bridgford Stand, which sits next to the Trent Bridge cricket ground. Away fans are seated in the lower tier of this stand, while the upper tier is reserved for home fans who want a good view behind the goal.
Which stand should you choose?
It's important to be able to make the best choice when booking your Nottingham Forest tickets. That's why we've created this comparison table of the four stands. Check off what matters most to you and you'll find the stand that suits you.
| Priority | Best stand | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Best atmosphere | Trent End | The loud heart of the City Ground, where the chants start |
| Best view | Brian Clough Stand | Elevated two-tier views from the largest stand |

Other information
Nottingham Forest is one of the giants of English soccer, a club whose greatest achievement remains winning back-to-back European Cups, in 1979 and 1980, under the legendary Brian Clough. After relegation in 1999, the club spent years in the Championship before winning the playoffs in 2022 to return to the top flight. A seventh-place finish in 2024/25 qualified them for the Europa League – their first European campaign in around three decades. The 2025/26 season was eventful behind the scenes, with four managers in a single campaign – Nuno Espírito Santo, Ange Postecoglou, and Sean Dyche came and went before Vítor Pereira arrived in February. Pereira stabilized the club, guided it to Premier League safety in 16th, and led a fine run all the way to the semifinals of the Europa League. The club is owned by Evangelos Marinakis.

Rivalries
Main rivalry
Derby County
The East Midlands derby against Derby County is one of the most intense local rivalries in English soccer; the two clubs compete for the Brian Clough Trophy, in tribute to the manager who led both teams. It's a fixture loaded with history and tension, and the one many Forest fans look for first when the schedule comes out.
Secondary rivalry
Leicester City
Leicester City is Forest's other East Midlands rival, a rivalry felt most intensely by fans living near the border between Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire. The two clubs spent long stretches in different divisions, which has made the fixture less regular, but the tension is still keen every time they meet.
