DC United played for more than two decades at the legendary RFK Stadium, until it moved into Audi Field in 2018, in the Buzzard Point neighborhood, next to the Anacostia River and just a short walk from downtown Washington. It's a compact stadium, with capacity for 20,000 spectators, purpose-built for soccer, with stands set very close to the field that create a great atmosphere despite its modest size. It has become one of the most convenient stadiums to visit in the whole league thanks to its location, just a few minutes' walk from Nationals Park and the restaurant area of The Wharf.

By subway
Both Navy Yard-Ballpark and Waterfront stations are within a 15-minute walk of the stadium, and both are on the Green Line of the Washington Metro, so you can connect directly from downtown.
On foot
