Abe Lenstra Stadion guide
The Abe Lenstra Stadion is one of the smallest and most intimate grounds in the Dutch Eredivisie. The 26,100 seats create a tight, close-up atmosphere on matchday. That's where we come in, we've got you covered with tickets for every single Heerenveen match. The stadium is divided in four sections, the North Stand, South Stand, East Stand and West Stand.
North Stand
The North Stand is home of Heerenveen's most vocal supporters. This is the place where the die-hard Heerenveen fans take seat. The North Stand is known for the loudest atmosphere in the stadium. When you want to experience the real Dutch soccer, you need to look for North Stand tickets. The stand is located behind one of the goals. Whenever Heerenveen attack towards this goal, you will get the authentic Heerenveen feeling.
South Stand
On the opposite site of the North Stand, you will find the South Stand. This stand holds home fans in the upper tier and away fans in the lower tier. Especially during a Frisian derby against Cambuur or a Derby of the North against FC Groningen, you will feel the tension and rivalry in the South Stand.
East Stand
Along the side of the field you will find the East Stand. This stand offers the perfect sightlines across the entire field. For the business class experience you can take seat in the prestigious club level. In the middle tier of the East Stand, you find a real hospitality experience. In the East Stand it's a bit more about the luxury and a bit less about the soccer atmosphere. But you know for sure you will have the best view in the stadium.
West Stand
It won't be any surprise that this stand is on the opposite side of the East Stand. There are also quiet a lof of similarities with the East Stand. You've got amazing sightlines, but will also be surrounded by a bit more quieter fans. The West Stand is located on the side of the dugouts, which gives you a little bit extra. You can hear the managers shouting and see the players warming-up from up close.
Which stand should you choose?
It's important to be able to make the best decision when booking your Heerenveen tickets. That's why we've created this table with a quick comparison about all four stands. Check what's important to you and you will find the best stand for your wishes.

Other information
Heerenveen was founded in 1920 in the town of Heerenveen, making it one of the older soccer clubs in the Netherlands. Known affectionately as "De Superfriezen" (The Super Frisians) by their supporters, the club has spent much of its history alternating between the Eredivisie and Eerste Divisie, but has built a loyal following across Friesland that has stuck with the club through both good times and difficult ones.
Dutch influences
Heerenveen is of course a real Dutch club, rooted firmly in the province of Friesland, complete with the Frysk Folksliet sung before every home match. Manager Robin Veldman continues the club's tradition of hands-on, homegrown coaching, working with a squad built largely around Dutch talent. On the field, captain Luuk Brouwers leads a group that will be looking to build on last season's mid-table Eredivisie finish and establish the club more firmly in the division.
Heerenveen Honours & Trophies
Heerenveen don't have the trophy cabinet of the traditional Eredivisie powerhouses, but as one of the oldest clubs in the Netherlands they have a long and proud history in Dutch soccer. Heerenveen compete for Eredivisie survival each season, with matches against the country's traditional powerhouses always drawing significant attention from fans and ticket buyers. Frisian derby against Cambuur
The Frisian derby between Heerenveen and Cambuur is one of the passionate local rivalries in Dutch soccer. The rivalry reflects Friesland's status as a province with two proud soccer clubs of its own. The fixture has always brought a fierce atmosphere whenever Cambuur and Heerenveen have met, regardless of where either side sits in the table.
FC Groningen
The rivalry between FC Groningen and Heerenveen also carries a strong northern Netherlands flavour, known as the Derby of the North. There have been several periods when FC Groningen and Heerenveen found themselves competing in the same division and fighting for regional bragging rights. Every soccer fan in the north of the Netherlands knows the history between the two clubs.
Minor Rivalries
FC Emmen
There is a geographic background to this rivalry with FC Emmen. Both clubs come from the wider northern Netherlands region and have often met in the Eredivisie and Eerste Divisie over the years. The Heerenveen and FC Emmen rivalry has been fuelled by this shared regional background.
