I think the fact that it took so long for the match ticket to actually become real was a major factor. All the problems building up to the game were completely wiped out as the admittance into the game couldn’t have been smoother.

I was first hesitant about buying tickets through a website I hadn't heard of but I was very pleased with the service from LiveFootballTickets. I bought a reasonably priced ticket to the Arsenal v Manchester City Community Shield match and it was delivered the next day and successfully saved to wallet without any problems. On matchday the ticket scanning worked just fine and I was able to see a memorable match in my home city. Great booking experience! Highly recommended for football events

Stadium information

Name:

Estádio do Dragão

Capacity:

50,033

Address:

Via Futebol Clube do Porto, 4350-415 Porto, Portugal

Description:

The Estádio do Dragão is the home of FC Porto and has been since 2003. It replaced the club's former ground, the Estádio das Antas. The stadium was designed by Portuguese architect Manuel Salgado and built by Somague at a cost of €125 million. It was constructed to host games at UEFA Euro 2004 and staged the opening game of that tournament between Portugal and Greece on June 12, 2004. The inauguration took place on November 16, 2003 with a friendly against Barcelona, which set the record attendance of 52,004. The ground has a capacity of 50,033, making it the third-largest soccer stadium in Portugal. It has since hosted the 2019 UEFA Nations League final and the 2021 UEFA Champions League final, and it is one of the proposed venues for the 2030 FIFA World Cup. Some of the 50,033 fans can book their FC Porto tickets through our secure booking system.

Best way to travel to Estádio do Dragão

Once you've booked your FC Porto tickets, it's time to figure out how to get to the stadium. The club advises everyone to take public transportation. Here are the options you can use to reach the stadium.

By Metro

The Estádio do Dragão has its own metro station, Estádio do Dragão, right next to the ground. It is the eastern terminus of the Porto Metro. Line A (blue) runs from Estádio do Dragão to Senhor de Matosinhos. Line B (red) runs to Póvoa de Varzim. Line E (violet) connects the stadium directly to Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport. Line F (orange) runs between Fânzeres and Senhora da Hora and also stops at the station. Follow the fans off the metro and you won't get lost.

By Bus

The STCP bus network serves the stadium area. Route 401 runs from Bolhão (Mercado) to S. Roque and passes the ground. Route 806 runs between Marquês and Avenida da Carvalha. The metro is the faster option on game day, but the buses cover much of the city center and the eastern suburbs.

By Car

Access by car is possible via the VCI (Via de Cintura Interna), the ring road that passes right next to the stadium and gives a direct connection. Coming from the city center, the Alameda da Antas is another route toward the ground. Parking around the stadium is limited on game day, so the club recommends public transportation.

By Bicycle

Cycling to the Estádio do Dragão is easier than you think. It's a quick, healthy way to make your trip and saves you a lot of money. There are 150 bicycle parking spots available at the stadium. On a bike you have all the freedom you need — you can get past traffic jams and avoid crowded public transportation.

Estádio do Dragão guide

The Estádio do Dragão is one of the bigger grounds in the Primeira Liga. Its 50,033 seats are almost always sold out. That's where we come in — we've got you covered with tickets for every single FC Porto game. The stadium is split into four sections: the South Stand, the North Stand, the East Stand and the West Stand.

South Stand

The South Stand is home to FC Porto's most vocal fans. This is where the Super Dragões, the club's main ultras group, sit. It is the end behind one of the goals. The South Stand is known for the loudest atmosphere in the stadium. If you want to experience real Portuguese soccer, look for South Stand tickets. Whenever FC Porto play toward this goal, you'll get that authentic FC Porto feeling.

North Stand

On the opposite side of the South Stand you'll find the North Stand. This stand is behind the other goal and is home to the Colectivo Ultras 95 supporters group. It is one of the noisier parts of the ground. Especially during the big games, you'll feel the tension and rivalry in the North Stand.

East Stand

Along the side of the field you'll find the East Stand. This stand offers good sightlines across the whole field. Away fans sit in the upper tier of the East Stand for FC Porto home games, so if you're following your team to the Dragão, this is the section to look for. Don't forget to select the "away end" or away section when booking. The rest of the East Stand holds home fans.

West Stand

It's no surprise that this stand sits on the opposite side from the East Stand. The West Stand is the main stand. It is located on the side of the dugouts, which gives you a little something extra: you can hear the managers shouting and watch the players warm up from up close. This stand also holds the hospitality area and the prestigious club level, so it's a bit more about the comfort and a bit less about the noise. But you know for sure you'll have a great view.

Which stand should you choose?

It's important to make the best decision when booking your FC Porto tickets. That's why we've created this table with a quick comparison of all four stands. Check what matters to you and you'll find the best stand for your needs.

Priority Best Stand Why
Best atmosphere South Stand Lower Home of the Super Dragões, where the singing starts

Other information

FC Porto was founded on September 28, 1893 in the city of Porto. The club is one of Portugal's "Big Three" alongside Benfica and Sporting CP, and it has never been relegated from the top flight. The nickname "Dragões" (Dragons) and the dragon on the club crest come from the coat of arms of the city of Porto. The team plays in blue and white stripes, which is why it is also known as "os Azuis e Brancos". FC Porto is the most successful Portuguese club in European competition.

American influences

FC Porto has no American owner. The club is member-owned, with the listed company controlled by its socios and Portuguese shareholders, and it is run by president André Villas-Boas, so the direct US links are limited. There are no United States internationals in the current squad, though the club does trade with American soccer: midfielder Stephen Eustáquio, a Canadian international, joined LAFC in Major League Soccer on loan during the 2025–26 season. Where US fans connect most with Porto is on their screens. GOLTV holds the US rights to the Primeira Liga and streams Porto games through services such as Fanatiz and Fubo, so the club is easy to follow from the States. That reach matters most to the Portuguese-American community, which has deep roots in New England, New Jersey and California and follows the Dragões closely. Porto also regularly meets US and MLS opposition in pre-season friendlies and in the UEFA competitions that American audiences watch, keeping the club on the radar for stateside soccer fans.

FC Porto Honors & Trophies

FC Porto consistently competes in the top tier of the Liga Portugal table. The club also plays in the prestigious Champions League, and these high-profile European games draw significant attention from fans and ticket buyers because of their importance in European soccer. Rivalries

Main Rivals

O Clássico against Benfica

The game between FC Porto and Benfica is known as O Clássico and is the biggest game in Portuguese soccer. The rivalry comes from the fact that the two clubs are the most successful and most supported in the country, with Porto representing the north and Benfica representing Lisbon and the south. The rivalry grew heavier as the two clubs began to share almost every league title between them, turning each meeting into a game that often decides the destination of the Primeira Liga.

Sporting CP

FC Porto also have a strong rivalry with the third member of the "Big Three", Sporting CP. These three clubs have won every Primeira Liga title bar two in the league's history. When Porto travel to Lisbon to face Sporting, or host them at the Dragão, the title race is often on the line, which makes this one of the most watched games of the season.

Minor Rivalries

Boavista

There is a geographic background to this rivalry with Boavista. Both clubs come from the city of Porto, which is why the game is known as the Derby da Invicta. Fans of the two Porto clubs never really liked each other. Boavista famously broke the "Big Three" stranglehold by winning the league in 2000/01, and the city derby always carries a real edge for both sets of fans.

Frequently Asked Questions about FC Porto tickets

Frequently Asked Questions about FC Porto tickets

FC Porto away tickets are a bit harder to find than tickets for home games. That's because there's much more space for home fans in the Estádio do Dragão than there is for away fans in any Primeira Liga stadium. We've managed to get our hands on FC Porto soccer tickets for almost every Primeira Liga game. Select the away game you want to attend and then look at the ticket inventory. All our away tickets are labeled. The labels most often used for the Dragões' away games are: FC Porto section, Away section, FC Porto fans section and away end. When the section label doesn't match these, the tickets are for the home team.
