Vitória Sport Clube was founded on September 22, 1922, in Guimarães. The club is the biggest in the Minho region and one of the most supported in Portugal outside the "Big Three", with around 39,000 members. Vitória is nicknamed "os Conquistadores" (the Conquerors), "os Vimaranenses" (the ones from Guimarães) and "os Branquinhos" (the Little Whites). Luís Pinto coached the club for most of the 2025–26 season and won the Taça da Liga in January before leaving in March 2026, with B-team coach Gil Lameiras taking over as head coach.
