Keep it up and will definitely consume ticket to you guys again. Thank you.

I was first hesitant about buying tickets through a website I hadn't heard of but I was very pleased with the service from LiveFootballTickets. I bought a reasonably priced ticket to the Arsenal v Manchester City Community Shield match and it was delivered the next day and successfully saved to wallet without any problems. On matchday the ticket scanning worked just fine and I was able to see a memorable match in my home city. Great booking experience! Highly recommended for football events

Stadium information

Name:

Estádio Municipal de Braga

Capacity:

30,286

Address:

Parque Norte, Monte do Castro, Dume, 4700-087 Braga, Portugal

Description:

The Estádio Municipal de Braga has been the home of SC Braga since 2003. It replaced the Estádio 1º de Maio, which is now used by the club's reserve team. The ground opened on December 30, 2003 with a game against Celta Vigo. It was designed by Portuguese architect Eduardo Souto de Moura and built for UEFA Euro 2004. The huge cost of cutting into the rock pushed the final price up to around €200 million, which made it the most expensive of the ten stadiums built for Euro 2004. The stadium is carved into the side of a quarry, so one of the goals sits in front of a bare rock face and there is no stand behind it. The two main stands run along the sides of the field and are joined by steel cables, a design inspired by old Incan bridges. The fans call it "A Pedreira", the Quarry. It holds 30,286 people, and Souto de Moura won the Pritzker Prize in part for this design. Some of those fans can book their SC Braga tickets through our secure booking system.

Best way to travel to Estádio Municipal de Braga

Once you've booked your SC Braga tickets, it's time to figure out how to get to the stadium. The stadium sits north of the city, on the Monte do Castro hill in the Dume area, so it is a little way out of the center. Here are the options you can use to reach the stadium.

By Bus

The bus is the easiest way to reach the Estádio Municipal de Braga. The local TUB buses run from the city center up toward the stadium on game days. Stops are on the Avenida do Estádio, close to the ground. The buses link the center and the train station with the stadium. Follow the fans off the bus and you won't get lost.

By Train

Braga has its own railway station in the city center, with regular trains from Porto and the wider Minho region. The station is not next to the stadium, so from there you take a bus or a taxi up to the ground. The train is a good option if you are coming in from Porto for the game.

By Car

The stadium sits close to the A11 and the A3 highways, which link Braga with Porto and the rest of the north. There is parking around the stadium and the sporting park at Dume. Space fills up fast on game day, so leave yourself some extra time.

By Bicycle

Cycling to the Estádio Municipal de Braga is easier than you think. It's a quick, healthy way to make your trip and saves you a lot of money. On a bike you have all the freedom you need — you can get past traffic jams and avoid crowded public transportation. Keep in mind the stadium is on a hill, so the last bit is a climb.

Estádio Municipal de Braga guide

The Estádio Municipal de Braga is one of the most famous grounds in world soccer. The 30,286 seats fill up for the big games. That's where we come in — we've got you covered with tickets for every single SC Braga game. The stadium is unusual: it has two large side stands and one end stand, with the rock face behind the other goal. To keep things simple we split it into four sections: the South Stand, the North Stand, the East Stand and the West Stand.

South Stand

The South Stand is home to SC Braga's most vocal fans. This is where the Red Boys and the other ultras groups sit. It is the end behind one of the goals. The South Stand is known for the loudest atmosphere in the stadium. If you want to experience real Portuguese soccer, look for South Stand tickets. Whenever Braga play toward this goal, you'll get that authentic SC Braga feeling.

North Stand

On the opposite side of the South Stand you'll find the North Stand. This is the end where the famous quarry rock face rises up behind the goal. This is also where the away fans sit, in a corner of this end. So if you're following your team to A Pedreira, this is the place to look for. Don't forget to select the "away end" or away section when booking. The rest of the North end holds home fans. Especially during the big games, you'll feel the tension and rivalry in this part of the ground.

East Stand

Along the side of the field you'll find the East Stand, the Nascente. This stand offers good sightlines across the whole field. The stand runs along the full length of the field. You get a clear view of the game from the side. The East Stand is a good pick for your first Braga game. It's a bit more about the view and a bit less about the noise. But you know for sure you'll see everything.

West Stand

It's no surprise that this stand sits on the opposite side from the East Stand. The West Stand, the Poente, is the main stand. It is located on the side of the dugouts, which gives you a little something extra: you can hear the managers shouting and watch the players warm up from up close. This stand also holds the business seats and the hospitality lounges, so it's a bit more about the comfort and a bit less about the noise. But you know for sure you'll have a great view.

Which stand should you choose?

It's important to make the best decision when booking your SC Braga tickets. That's why we've created this table with a quick comparison of all four stands. Check what matters to you and you'll find the best stand for your needs.

Priority Best Stand Why
Best atmosphere South Stand Lower Home of the Red Boys, where the singing starts
Best view East/West Upper Central Perfect sightlines, see everything
First-time visitor East or West Stand Balance of atmosphere and views
Families with children East/West Lower or Club Level Comfortable seating, good facilities
Budget-conscious North Stand Upper or South Stand Upper Good value, solid views

Other information

Sporting Clube de Braga was founded on January 19, 1921 in Braga, in the Minho region of northern Portugal. The club is nicknamed "os Arsenalistas" (the Arsenalists), because its red and white kit looks like that of the English club Arsenal, and "os Guerreiros do Minho" (the Minho Warriors). Braga has spent more than 30 seasons in a row in the top flight and is seen by many fans as the "fourth big" club in Portugal, behind the Big Three. Its best-ever league finish was second place in 2009-10, which sent the club into the Champions League for the first time. Braga reached the Europa League final in 2011, losing to Porto. Qatar Sports Investments, the owners of Paris Saint-Germain, hold a minority stake in the club, with António Salvador as the long-serving president. Carlos Vicens, who spent four years as an assistant coach at Manchester City, took over as head coach in May 2025 and is still in charge for the 2026-2027 season.

American influences

SC Braga is a Portuguese club, so the direct American links are limited. The club is Portuguese-run under president António Salvador, with a minority stake held by Qatar Sports Investments, not by any US owner, and the squad is built mostly around Portuguese and Brazilian players rather than United States internationals. Where American fans come in is broadcast access: GOLTV holds the US rights to the Primeira Liga and carries several games a week, including Braga, through streaming services such as Fanatiz and Fubo. That matters most to the Portuguese-American community, which has deep roots in the Northeast and California and follows Liga Portugal closely. Braga's regular runs in the Europa League and Champions League also put the club in front of US audiences on European soccer nights. So while there is no genuine American ownership or a US star in the lineup, it has never been easier for fans in the States to watch Braga play.

SC Braga Honors & Trophies

Rivalries

Main Rivals

Dérbi do Minho against Vitória de Guimarães

The game between SC Braga and Vitória de Guimarães is known as the Dérbi do Minho, the Minho derby. The two clubs come from the cities of Braga and Guimarães, which sit close together in the Minho region of northern Portugal. The rivalry between the two cities goes back centuries, long before soccer, and the derby carries all of that history and tension. Many fans say it is the most heated game of the season for both clubs, and the away end is always sold out.

Minor Rivalries

The "fourth big" clubs

There is also a rivalry between Braga, Boavista and a few other clubs, because they are close in the number of titles and fans, and argue over which is the "fourth big" club behind the Big Three. It is not as fierce as the Minho derby, but it still matters to fans of both sides.

Frequently Asked Questions about SC Braga tickets

Frequently Asked Questions about SC Braga tickets

SC Braga away tickets are a bit harder to find than tickets for home games. That's because there's much more space for home fans in each stadium than there is for away fans in any Primeira Liga stadium. We've managed to get our hands on SC Braga soccer tickets for almost every Primeira Liga game. Select the away game you want to attend and then look at the ticket inventory. All our away tickets are labeled. The labels most often used for the Arsenalistas' away games are: SC Braga section, Away section, Braga fans section and away end. When the section label doesn't match these, the tickets are for the home team.
