Olympique Gymnaste Club de Nice, known as OGC Nice or simply Le Gym, was founded in 1904 and is based in Nice, on the Côte d'Azur in the south of France. The club plays in red and black and is nicknamed Les Aiglons, the Eaglets. Nice is owned by the British company Ineos, the group led by Jim Ratcliffe, with Jean-Pierre Rivère as president.
Champions of France
Nice were one of the dominant forces of French soccer in the 1950s, winning four league titles in that decade and reaching the latter stages of the European Cup. The club added the Coupe de France in 1997, and in more recent years finished third in 2016-17 under Lucien Favre to reach the Champions League, with Mario Balotelli among their stars.
