Best way to travel to the BBBank Wildpark
When you’ve booked your Karlsruher SC tickets it’s time to find out how you can get to the stadium. Karlsruhe’s transport network VBK runs free matchday shuttle buses to the BBBank Wildpark, and your match ticket doubles as a free transit pass within the KVV zone, so most fans arrive without a car. These are the options you have to get to the ground.

Free shuttle buses run from around 90 minutes before kick-off, with return shuttles departing from Adenauerring and Theodor-Heuss-Allee to Durlacher Tor about 30 minutes after the final whistle.

There is also an on-site Birkenparkplatz reachable from the Durlacher Tor/Waldstadt side, bookable in advance via the club’s online ticketshop.
By Bike
Cycling is a realistic option for fans coming from within the city, alongside the free matchday shuttle network.
BBBank Wildpark guide
The BBBank Wildpark first opened on 7 August 1955 and has been renovated repeatedly ever since, with work carried out in 1957, 1968, 1978, 1986 and 1993, before a complete rebuild between 2018 and 2023 turned it into the modern, pure football stadium it is today. On the opposite side from the main stand sits the section most associated with the home support, but every stand plays its own part on a matchday in Karlsruhe.
Südtribüne (South Stand)
The standing terraces of the South Stand, split into blocks S1 to S5, form the loudest part of the ground and the traditional heart of KSC’s home atmosphere.
Osttribüne (East Stand)
The largest seating area in the ground, with several price tiers including padded upper sections, offering a clear view down the length of the pitch.
Nordtribüne (North Stand)
Home to the family block NW I, the North Stand is a calmer, seated option well suited to fans bringing children along.
Away section
Visiting supporters are housed in a dedicated block reached only via the western approach near Mühlburger Tor, with about 1,000 seats and 2,500 standing places set aside for away fans.
Which stand should you choose?
Not every stand gives you the same experience at the BBBank Wildpark. We made this table so you can compare the options in one quick look. Check what matters to you and you will find the right stand.

Club history
Karlsruher SC traces its roots back to 6 June 1894, when it was founded as Karlsruher Fussball Club Phönix, with the modern club taking shape through a merger on 16 October 1952. The club won the German championship in 1909, beating Viktoria 89 Berlin 4-2 in the final, and later lifted the DFB-Pokal in both 1955 (beating Schalke 04 3-2) and 1956 (beating Hamburger SV 3-1), also reaching further finals in 1960 and 1996. Also this stand of trophies runs alongside the club’s most celebrated modern era, a run of six straight top-six Bundesliga finishes between 1992 and 1997, headlined by a memorable 7-0 UEFA Cup win over Valencia in 1993-94 with Edgar Schmitt scoring four goals, before the club fell in the semi-final that season.
Karlsruher SC closed out the 2025-26 season in 10th place in the 2. Bundesliga. Maximilian Senft took charge in the summer of 2026, succeeding long-serving coach Christian Eichner, and despite a difficult opening run of matches sporting director Mario Eggimann has publicly backed the new coach and his staff to turn results around. Marvin Wanitzek is leading the side for a third consecutive season as captain, supported by vice-captain Marcel Franke and a team council that also includes Hans Christian Bernat, Rafael Pinto Pedrosa and Sebastian Jung.
German influences
The BBBank Wildpark has stood in the same corner of Karlsruhe since 1955 and, after its 2018-2023 rebuild, now combines that long history with one of the more modern grounds in the 2. Bundesliga. The nickname “der KSC” ties Karlsruher SC to more than 130 years of football in Baden, a link the club still leans on proudly today. Come to a match at the BBBank Wildpark and you will feel quite fast why this proud Baden club still means so much to Karlsruhe.
Karlsruher SC Honours & Trophies
Karlsruher SC holds one of the more storied trophy cabinets in German football, built on an early-20th-century national championship and two DFB-Pokal triumphs in the 1950s, and the club’s famous 1990s European run shows just how far der KSC has reached before. Regional fixtures
VfB Stuttgart
The Baden-Württemberg derby against VfB Stuttgart, sometimes called the Südwest-Derby, is the fixture most commonly cited as Karlsruher SC’s biggest rivalry, rooted in the historic Baden-versus-Württemberg regional divide. Karlsruhe also shares a keen Baden rivalry with SC Freiburg and a cup-tinged local needle match with SV Waldhof Mannheim, but the meetings with Stuttgart remain the fixture most fans single out whenever the two clubs share a division.
