Hannover 96 is a soccer club from Hannover in Germany and was established in 1896. Nicknamed Die Roten (The Reds), Hannover 96 has experienced financial problems during the late 70s and also in the early 90s. Thereafter in 1992, Hannover achieved their first German Cup (DFB-Pokal) win which helped them critically with their financials. Hannover 96 managed to become the first lower level division who won the competition against Borussia Dortmund, VfL Bochum, Karlsruher SC, Werder Bremen and Borussia Moenchengladbach. 96 experienced continuous victory with mid-table results and received a promotion to the Bundesliga during 2002. This season, Hannover 96 is ready for a tough fight to stay in the Bundesliga. Hannover’s home matches are being held at the AWD-Arena with a capacity of 49,000 seats.     Honestly - l was unsure! But no need at all. Travelled to Istanbul for the Aston Villa game thinking it would be easy to get a ticket - it wasn't.
