Past 2 years goes smootly, but now to get tickets via their app - was challening as we where as well as members with the same login. Thanks for Sam - she help us and didn`t ignore till we got the NFC tickets. Thanks for this service.

Great experience, everything ran smoothly, the only thing that would be nice is getting the tickets a bit earlier than on the day of the game. but it is a minor issue.

It was good, only minor inconvenient was the fee that appeared at the very end, that added like 60 euros to the final prize

Stadium information

Name:

Rheinpark Stadion

Capacity:

7,001 (5,874 seated)

Address:

Lettstrasse 74, 9490 Vaduz, Liechtenstein

Rheinpark Stadion Vaduz

Description:

The Rheinpark Stadion opened on July 31, 1998, and it does two jobs. It's the home of FC Vaduz and also the national stadium of Liechtenstein, so this is where the country's international games are played. It sits between the town and the Rhine, with the mountains on both sides and the castle of the Prince of Liechtenstein looking down from the hillside above. The stadium holds 7,001 people, of whom 5,874 are seated, which makes it comfortably the smallest in the league. A renovation and expansion is under way, so that figure may change over the coming seasons. Some of those fans can book their FC Vaduz tickets through our secure booking system.

Best way to travel to Rheinpark Stadion

Once you've booked your FC Vaduz tickets, it's time to figure out how to get to the stadium. This is the one away trip in the Swiss Super League that takes you into another country, so it's worth a bit of planning. The good news is that your game ticket includes free travel on the whole LIEmobil bus network for two hours before and after the game. Here are the options you can use to reach the stadium.

By Train

Here's the quirk: Vaduz is one of the very few capital cities in the world with no railway station. The nearest one is Schaan-Vaduz, about three and a half kilometers away in the neighboring town of Schaan, on the line between Feldkirch in Austria and Buchs in Switzerland. From there you take a bus the rest of the way.

By Bus

The buses are how everybody gets around Liechtenstein. LIEmobil line 11 runs the length of the country and stops at Vaduz, Post in the middle of town, a short walk from the stadium. On game days the club normally puts on extra services on that line, plus a shuttle between the Post stop and the stadium every 10 minutes or so. Check the details for your specific game, because they change from game to game.

By Car

No highway runs through Liechtenstein. Coming from Switzerland you leave the A13 near Sevelen, Trübbach or Buchs and cross the Rhine; from Austria you come in past Feldkirch. There are around 250 parking spaces at the stadium, but on game days the club closes the Rheindamm road and the Lettstrasse to normal traffic near kickoff, and for the bigger European games the stadium parking lot is for permit holders only.

Crossing the border

Liechtenstein isn't in the European Union, but it's inside the Schengen area, with open borders to both Switzerland and Austria, so there are no routine checks on the way in. Bring your ID anyway. The currency is the Swiss franc, the same as everywhere else in the league.

Rheinpark Stadion guide

The Rheinpark Stadion is the smallest one in the Swiss Super League. That's where we come in — we've got you covered with tickets for every single FC Vaduz game. The stadium is divided into four sectors, numbered 1 to 4.

Sektor 4, the Nordtribüne

Sektor 4 is home to FC Vaduz's most vocal fans. The main supporters' group took the name Vaduz Nord when this stand opened in 2007, and alongside them you'll find Sektion Nord and the Rheinwölfe. This is where the die-hard Vaduz fans sit. The Nordtribüne is known for the loudest atmosphere in the stadium. If you want to experience the real soccer of Liechtenstein, look for Sektor 4 tickets. The stand sits behind one of the goals, and whenever Vaduz play toward it, you'll get the authentic red-and-white feeling.

Sektor 3, the Gegentribüne

Sektor 3 is the stand given over to visiting fans. Note that some older guides put the away fans in the south stand instead, so always go by the club's own information for the game you're attending. When you book tickets for a Vaduz away game, this is the type of sector you'll end up in.

Sektor 1, the Haupttribüne

Along the side of the field you'll find Sektor 1, the main stand and the biggest in the stadium with around 2,500 places. This stand offers perfect sightlines across the entire field. For a business-class experience, you can sit in the hospitality area. The Haupttribüne is a bit more about luxury and a bit less about the soccer atmosphere, but you can be sure you'll have the best view in the stadium. The dugouts are on this side as well, so you can hear the managers shouting and watch the players warm up from up close.

Sektor 2, the Südtribüne

Behind the other goal you'll find Sektor 2, the standing end of the stadium. You get a good view of the play from here, and the tickets are usually the cheapest in the stadium. Because the Rheinpark is so small, there honestly isn't a bad seat anywhere in it.

Which stand should you choose?

It's important to make the best decision when booking your FC Vaduz tickets. That's why we've created this table with a quick comparison of the sectors. Check what matters to you and you'll find the best stand for your needs.

Priority Best Stand Why
Best atmosphere Sektor 4, the Nordtribüne Home of Vaduz Nord, singing all game
Best view Sektor 1, halfway line You look straight across the field
First-time visitor Sektor 1 Good view and the best facilities
Families with children Sektor 1 Seats under the roof, restrooms close by
Budget-conscious Sektor 2, the Südtribüne The cheapest places with a good view
Singing & standing Sektor 4 Expect to be on your feet
See the players Sektor 1, lower rows The dugouts and the tunnel are on this side
Best photo of the stadium Sektor 2 or 4 Vaduz Castle on the hillside behind

Other information

FC Vaduz was founded on February 14, 1932, in the capital of Liechtenstein. Fans call them the Residenzler, the residents, and also the Fürstenverein, the Prince's club, a nod to the royal family whose castle overlooks the town. Liechtenstein has no league of its own, which is why the club plays in the Swiss pyramid. Last season Vaduz won the Challenge League with 81 points, a club record, taking the title on the final day by beating Wil 3-1 while Aarau could only draw. That was their fourth promotion to the Swiss top flight.

American influences

FC Vaduz — the club from Liechtenstein that plays in the Swiss league system — has a real place in United States soccer history. Caleb Stanko, a midfielder born in Michigan and capped by the USMNT, spent the 2016-17 season at Vaduz and made more than two dozen appearances in Swiss competition before returning home to MLS with FC Cincinnati. The club has also sent talent the other way: its current captain, local star Nicolas Hasler, spent several years in MLS with Toronto FC, the Chicago Fire and Sporting Kansas City before returning home to Vaduz. For a small club, Vaduz has an unusually deep connection to the American game.

The night they made history

On August 25, 2022, FC Vaduz beat Rapid Vienna to reach the group stage of the UEFA Conference League. It was the first time any club from Liechtenstein had reached the group stage of a European competition. They finished bottom of their group with two points, but for a club representing a country of 40,000 people, just getting there was the achievement.

Rivalries

Main Rivals

USV Eschen-Mauren

Let's be honest about this one. FC Vaduz doesn't have a fierce, historic derby of the kind you find elsewhere in this league. The closest thing is USV Eschen-Mauren, the other main club in Liechtenstein, whom Vaduz meet again and again in the Liechtenstein Cup final — including in 2026, when Vaduz came through 4-3. With 52 cup wins against everybody else's handful, it's less a rivalry than a recurring appointment.

Other fixtures to look out for

The Swiss clubs

Games against sides like FC St. Gallen, who are the nearest big club just over the border in eastern Switzerland, draw the biggest crowds to the Rheinpark. There's no old grudge behind them, but a small club taking on the established names of Swiss soccer has an appeal all its own.
