Stadium information

Name:

Roazhon Park (Stade de la Route de Lorient)

Capacity:

29,778

Address:

111 route de Lorient, 35000 Rennes, France

Description:

Roazhon Park, for over a century known as the Stade de la Route de Lorient, is the home of Stade Rennais and sits on the western edge of Rennes, the capital of Brittany. Inaugurated back in 1912, it was completely rebuilt around the turn of the century and today seats 29,778 spectators. The four stands are built right on top of the field and linked by filled-in corners to form a compact, enclosed bowl that traps the noise and makes for one of the most intense atmospheres in Ligue 1, driven by the famous Roazhon Celtic Kop. The stadium took its current name — Roazhon is the Breton word for Rennes — following a public vote in 2015, and it hosted games at the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup, including a quarterfinal. Some of those 29,778 fans can book their Stade Rennais tickets through our secure booking system.

Best way to travel to Roazhon Park

Once you've booked your Stade Rennais tickets, it's time to figure out how to get to the stadium. The club advises everyone to take public transportation, as the streets immediately around the stadium are closed to traffic on game days. Here are the options you can use to reach the stadium.

By Metro and Bus

Rennes has a modern two-line metro and an extensive STAR bus network. The easiest route for most fans is to head to the city center and pick up one of the STAR bus lines that run along the route de Lorient toward the stadium, dropping you within a short walk of the turnstiles. Public transportation is by far the most convenient way to arrive on game days.

By Train

Rennes is exceptionally well connected by rail, with high-speed TGV services reaching the city from Paris in around an hour and a half. From Rennes train station you can take the metro or a STAR bus toward the stadium, or enjoy a roughly 30-minute walk across the city to the stadium.

By Car

If you do travel by car, leave the Rennes ring road (rocade) at exit 10, "Porte de Lorient". Be aware that the official parking lots right next to the stadium (P1 to P7) are reserved for permit holders, and the surrounding streets are closed on game days, so parking immediately next to the stadium isn't possible. The best option is to park a little farther out and walk in, or use public transportation.

By Bicycle

Cycling to Roazhon Park is easier than you think. It's a quick, healthy way to make your trip, and you avoid the game-day traffic and crowded public transportation. And of course, no trip to Roazhon Park is complete without the sacred Breton game-day ritual: a galette-saucisse from one of the stalls around the stadium before kickoff.

Roazhon Park guide

Roazhon Park is divided into four stands: the Tribune Mordelles, the Tribune Ville de Rennes, the Tribune Super U and the Tribune Crédit Mutuel de Bretagne. The compact, all-covered design means almost every seat offers a fantastic, close-up view of the field. That's where we come in — we've got you covered with tickets for every single Rouge et Noir game.

Tribune Mordelles

Over on the west side, the Tribune Mordelles is home to Stade Rennais' most vocal fans. Its lower tier belongs to the Roazhon Celtic Kop — the RCK, founded in 1991 — who drive the home support with chants, flags and tifos for the full 90 minutes. This stand is known for the loudest atmosphere in the stadium. If you want to experience real Breton soccer, look for Tribune Mordelles tickets.

Tribune Ville de Rennes

Across the field from the Mordelles, on the east side, you'll find the Tribune Ville de Rennes. The views down the length of the field are some of the best in the stadium, and the mood here is a little calmer than over in the Kop without losing the passion. Visiting fans are placed in a separate part of this stand too, so this is the corner of Roazhon Park to aim for if you're traveling to back the away team. Just double-check you've picked the "away end" or away section before you pay.

Tribune Super U

The Tribune Super U is the north stand, tucked in behind one of the goals. It's a loud, fully home end, and it's also where you'll find the official club shop if you want to pick up a jersey before kickoff. A good pick if you'd rather be standing behind the goal with the home crowd than sitting side-on.

Tribune Crédit Mutuel de Bretagne

Facing the Super U from behind the other goal is the Tribune Crédit Mutuel de Bretagne, the south stand. Along with the Super U and the Mordelles it makes up the home end of the stadium, and it adds plenty to the noise on the bigger nights. Pick this one if you want to be right in among it.

Which stand should you choose?

It's important to make the best decision when booking your Stade Rennais tickets. That's why we've created this table with a quick comparison of all four stands. Check what matters to you and you'll find the best stand for your needs.

Priority Best Stand Why
Best atmosphere Tribune Mordelles (Lower) Home of the Roazhon Celtic Kop, where the noise comes from
Best view Tribune Mordelles or Tribune Ville de Rennes Side-on views along the length of the field
First-time visitor Tribune Ville de Rennes Balance of atmosphere and views
Families with children Tribune Ville de Rennes Welcoming, passionate but more relaxed environment
Singing & standing Tribune Mordelles (Lower) Expect to be on your feet with the RCK
Behind the goal Tribune Super U or Tribune Crédit Mutuel de Bretagne Vocal home ends behind each goal
Away supporters Tribune Ville de Rennes The designated away section at Roazhon Park

Other information

A group of former students founded Stade Rennais in Brittany on March 10, 1901, and three years later it merged with local rivals FC Rennais to become Stade Rennais Université Club. The red and black colors date back to that early period, worn alongside white ever since, and the club took its current name — Stade Rennais Football Club — in 1972. Known to everyone as Les Rouge et Noir, Rennes was one of the founding members of France's first division and is still the flagship club of Brittany today. François Pinault's holding company, Artémis, has owned the club since 1998.

Breton identity and the academy

Stade Rennais is famous above all for its youth academy, the Henri Guérin training center, which in 2010 was recognized by the French Football Federation as the best in the country. The academy has produced a remarkable list of talents, including Ousmane Dembélé, Eduardo Camavinga, Yoann Gourcuff, Yann M'Vila, Désiré Doué and Mathys Tel. That commitment to homegrown players, combined with one of the most passionate fan bases in the country and the proud defense of Breton identity, is at the very core of what Stade Rennais is about — and a big part of why a game day at Roazhon Park feels so special.

American influences

Rennes has been owned since 1998 by Artémis, the holding company of the French billionaire Pinault family — not American money, but a group with deep US interests, from the New York auction house Christie's to the Hollywood talent agency CAA. The club has an American footprint on the field too: striker Jordan Pefok, born Jordan Siebatcheu in Washington, DC, made his name at Roazhon Park before going on to score for the United States national team. With Ligue 1 broadcast on beIN Sports in the United States through the 2028-29 season, American fans can catch the Roazhon Celtic Kop in full voice every week.

Stade Rennais Honors & Trophies

Stade Rennais have never lifted the French league title, but the Rouge et Noir have built a proud honors list over more than a century, shining in particular in the cup competitions, where their Breton spirit always seems to come alive. Rivalries

Main Rivals

Derby Breton against FC Nantes

The Derby Breton between Stade Rennais and FC Nantes is one of the fiercest rivalries in French soccer. It pits Rennes, the modern capital of Brittany, against Nantes, the region's historic capital, and carries a strong symbolic weight tied to questions of Breton identity. Nantes have historically held the upper hand in the head-to-head record, which only adds to the intensity whenever the two clubs meet, making this the standout game of the Rouge et Noir's season.

Minor Rivalries

EA Guingamp

The meeting with fellow Breton side EA Guingamp is another heated, often tense affair, and one of the games Rennes fans circle on the calendar. As an all-Brittany derby it carries plenty of regional pride, with both sets of supporters desperate to come out on top.

Stade Brest and FC Lorient

Rennes also share Breton derbies with Stade Brest and FC Lorient. These games are generally a little more friendly than the clashes with Nantes or Guingamp, with the clubs proudly flying the flag for Brittany, but they remain games that every Breton supporter wants to win.

Frequently Asked Questions about Stade Rennais tickets

Frequently Asked Questions about Stade Rennais tickets

Stade Rennais away tickets are a bit harder to find than tickets for home games. That's because there's much more space for home fans in Roazhon Park than there is for away fans in any Ligue 1 stadium. We've managed to get our hands on Stade Rennais soccer tickets for almost every Ligue 1 game. Select the away game you want to attend and then look at the ticket inventory. All our away tickets are labeled. The labels most often used for the Rouge et Noir's away games are: Stade Rennais section, Away section, Rennes fans section and away end. When the section label doesn't match these, the tickets are for the home team.

Come and experience the unique, intense atmosphere of one of Ligue 1's most passionate stadiums with Stade Rennais tickets from Livefootballtickets.com. We currently have 78 tickets available across all Stade Rennais games, with prices starting at just $61 and an average ticket price of $280.
