Vicarage Road stadium guide
Vicarage Road is one of the most characterful grounds in the Championship. The stadium is divided into four stands: the Graham Taylor Stand, the Rookery Stand, the Vicarage Road Stand and the Sir Elton John Stand. Whichever league Watford are playing in, we've got you covered with tickets for every Hornets game.
Graham Taylor Stand
The Graham Taylor Stand is the largest stand at Vicarage Road. Named after the club's most successful manager, this two-tiered stand runs the full length of the field and houses the press box, the executive boxes and the club's hospitality lounges. It offers some of the best views in the stadium across the entire field, so if you want comfort and a great vantage point, this is the place to look.
Rookery Stand
Opposite the Graham Taylor Stand you'll find the Rookery Stand, home to many of Watford's most loyal and vocal supporters. Named after the woodland that once stood nearby, this stand is where you'll find the club's most passionate fans in full voice and is one of the most atmospheric parts of the stadium on a game day. The Rookery is at the heart of the Vicarage Road experience.
Sir Elton John Stand
Along the east side of the field sits the Sir Elton John Stand, named after the club's most famous supporter and former chairman. Opened in 2014, this modern single-tier stand replaced the old main stand and houses the changing rooms, with the lyrics to Elton John's hit 'Your Song' embossed across the back wall. It keeps a unique and characterful feel and is one of the most distinctive stands in English soccer.
Vicarage Road Stand
Behind one of the goals sits the Vicarage Road Stand, named after the street from which it is accessed. This stand is where away supporters are housed for Watford home games. If you're following your team to Vicarage Road, this is the section to look for – remember to select the "away end" or away section when booking. It's also one of the noisiest parts of the stadium on a big game day.
Which stand should you choose?
It's important to be able to make the best decision when booking your Watford tickets. That's why we've created this table with a quick comparison of all four stands. Check what's important to you and you will find the best stand for your wishes.

Rivalries
Main Rivals
Beds-Herts Derby against Luton Town
The fiercest rivalry Watford have is with Luton Town, with the game between the two known as the Beds-Herts Derby or the M1 Derby. The rivalry comes from the fact that both clubs share the counties of Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire and have competed for local supremacy for well over a century. Even when the two clubs aren't in the same division, the derby remains one of the most passionately contested fixtures in the region, and fans of both teams can't wait for it to return.
Minor Rivals
Crystal Palace
The rivalry with Crystal Palace is a strong one rooted in some high-profile cup clashes and long-running competition across the south-east of England. The two clubs don't meet as often as they once did, as they have frequently found themselves in different divisions, and fixtures between sides in different leagues tend to keep rivalries a little less heated. Even so, a meeting between Watford and Crystal Palace always carries a bit of extra edge.
