Superb! Easy to purchase a ticket. I had a live customer service chat once, the staff member was so polite, helpful and informative. I loved the communication after purchase. On the match day they contacted me on WhatsApp if I want an upgrade on my tickets for free and after my confirmation I got my tickets within a minute. Great experience, thank you.

This is the best and most trusted website to get your tickets to any world event. I have used them 3 times throughout the years, I have used other sites for football matches and they are so transparent and fast, the first time I used them was in 2018 for a Roma match and then made the mistake to use a different site for the PSG match in April and they were terrible, from the website, customer service and responses. this is the only site I trust and use!

Stadium information

Name:

Home Deluxe Arena (also known as the Benteler-Arena)

Capacity:

15.000

Address:

Paderborn, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany

Club:

SC Paderborn 07

Description:

The Home Deluxe Arena is the compact but passionate home of SC Paderborn 07. It holds 15.000 spectators and was built in 2008, replacing the old Hermann-Löns-Stadion when Paderborn first reached professional football. For a club the size of SC Paderborn, having their own 15.000-seat purpose-built stadium is a real achievement. The ground is located in the north of Paderborn, not far from the university campus. The stadium has modern facilities throughout and gives good sightlines from all areas. Not only the home sections are good, also the away section offers a fine view of the pitch.

The stadium is known locally by its original sponsorship name Benteler-Arena, after the Paderborn-based steel and automotive parts manufacturer Benteler International, one of the largest employers in the region. The current naming rights sponsor is the local real estate and property company Home Deluxe. Whatever you call it, the atmosphere inside the ground during a Bundesliga match is electric. Paderborn fans fill the stadium to capacity for big games and the noise level is remarkable for a 15.000-seat venue. The compact design means the sound from the Nordkurve spreads across the whole stadium in a way that much larger arenas cannot match.

Best way to travel to the Home Deluxe Arena

When you’ve booked your SC Paderborn 07 tickets it’s time to find out how you can get to the stadium. The city of Paderborn recommends public transport on matchdays, especially when traffic around the ground picks up. Not only by car, also by train, bus and bicycle you will reach the Home Deluxe Arena without any problems. Here are your options:

By Train

Paderborn Hauptbahnhof is well connected within the regional rail network of North Rhine-Westphalia. RegionalExpress services bring you from Dortmund in around 55 minutes, from Bielefeld in around 25 minutes, and from Hannover in around 35 minutes. Also from Cologne and Düsseldorf, Paderborn is reachable with one change in a comfortable time. From Paderborn Hauptbahnhof the Home Deluxe Arena is reachable by bus or bicycle in just a few minutes. On matchdays you will find signs at the station pointing you towards the stadium. Also the walk from the station through the northern part of the city is very manageable on a dry matchday afternoon.

By Bus

From Paderborn Hauptbahnhof, city bus lines run regularly towards the north of the city where the Home Deluxe Arena is located. On matchdays extra buses are added, not only towards the stadium before kick-off, also back to the station after the final whistle. The journey takes around 10 to 15 minutes. The matchday bus services are well signposted at the station and you will find them easily. Also on the bigger Bundesliga matchdays, when the Home Deluxe Arena is sold out, you will find the buses back to the station fill up very fast after the final whistle. Give yourself some extra time for this.

By Bicycle

Paderborn is a bicycle-friendly city and the cycling infrastructure is good. From the city centre to the Home Deluxe Arena you will have around 15 to 20 minutes by bike. Bicycle parking you will find directly at the stadium. Not only do you avoid all the matchday traffic, also the ride home after the match through the northern streets of the city is a very relaxed thing to do. Most people who come by bicycle the first time do it again the next.

By Car

Paderborn is well connected via the A33 motorway. The A33 brings you from the Ruhr area in the west and from Osnabrück in the north directly to the city. Who comes from Hannover takes the A2 to the Kreuz Bielefeld junction and then the A33 towards Paderborn. Parking you will find near the stadium, and on matchdays stewards help with the traffic around the ground. After the final whistle it can be a bit slow near the stadium. Who comes early gets the better choice of parking and also the easier drive out after the game.

The stands at the Home Deluxe Arena

The Home Deluxe Arena is divided into four sections: the Haupttribüne, the Gegentribüne, the Nordkurve and the Gästeblock. Each section has its own character. The compact design of the ground means that from every area you are close to the pitch. You will not get the feeling of watching from far away, whatever section you are in. Also this is one of the things that makes a matchday in the Home Deluxe Arena so special.

Haupttribüne

The Haupttribüne is the main stand of the Home Deluxe Arena, running along the west side of the pitch. The best seating in the stadium you will find here. The seats are comfortable and from every row you have a clear view. Also the press area, the television cameras, the VIP sections and the hospitality boxes of the club are all here. The Haupttribüne is fully covered, and you will be very glad about that when the weather turns in the North Rhine-Westphalia autumn and winter. Tickets here are always very popular. A good choice if you want to take seat in a comfortable area with a full view of the action from the halfway line.

Gegentribüne

On the opposite site of the pitch you will find the Gegentribüne, the east stand that faces the Haupttribüne. From here you get a very good view over everything that happens on the pitch. Also this stand is fully covered, so you stay dry whatever the weather. Tickets in the Gegentribüne are a bit more affordable than the Haupttribüne and the atmosphere is friendly. Not only is the sightline very good, also the Gegentribüne lets you see both penalty areas equally well. A good option for families or fans who want a solid seat without spending too much.

Nordkurve

The Nordkurve is where the Home Deluxe Arena really comes alive. This is where the most passionate SC Paderborn supporters are, the Ultras Paderborn and the other home fans who sing the full 90 minutes. You will get the best atmosphere in the stadium here. There is a lot of noise and colour behind the north goal. The Nordkurve is a standing terrace for home fans only. It is loud, it is busy, and it does not stop for one minute. If you are looking for a quiet matchday, this is not the right place for you. But if you want to feel what German football is really about, you will have a very special experience in the Nordkurve. Not only local fans, also supporters from across Germany and Europe travel to Paderborn to experience this stand at least once.

Gästeblock

The Gästeblock is the away section at the Home Deluxe Arena, located in the south end of the stadium, on the opposite site of the Nordkurve. Away supporters are housed here and you will have a clear view of the pitch and the Nordkurve directly in front of you. The Gästeblock has its own separate entrance, so home and away fans come in from different sides. It is a standing section. If you are travelling to Paderborn to support the visiting team, you will find this is a well-organised area. The stewards are friendly but they do their job properly. Arrive early to get the best spot in the block.

Which stand should you choose?

We made this table so you can compare all four stands in one quick look. Check what matters most to you and you will find the right section.

Priority Best Stand Why
Best atmosphere Nordkurve Standing terrace, Ultras Paderborn, 90 minutes of singing, loudest part of the ground
Best view Haupttribüne Central Full pitch sightlines from the halfway line, covered, comfortable seating
First-time visitor Haupttribüne or Gegentribüne Good overview, comfortable seats, full stadium visible from a clear angle
Families with children Haupttribüne Quieter than the Nordkurve, good facilities, seating throughout
Budget-conscious Gegentribüne More affordable than the main stand, still fully covered, good sightline
Singing and standing Nordkurve Plan to stand and sing for the full 90 minutes
Away fans Gästeblock South end, standing section, clear view, well-organised separate entrance
Premium comfort Haupttribüne VIP Hospitality areas, padded seating, best service in the stadium

About SC Paderborn 07

3rd place, 2. Bundesliga 2025-26

Club history

Sport-Club Paderborn 07 e.V. was founded in 1907. The club is based in the city of Paderborn in eastern North Rhine-Westphalia, a city of around 153.000 people in the Ostwestfalen-Lippe region. For most of the twentieth century the club played in the lower regional divisions, competing in the Oberliga Westfalen and later the Regionalliga. In 1985 two rival Paderborn clubs, TuS Schloss Neuhaus and FC Paderborn, merged to form TuS Paderborn-Neuhaus. In 1997 the club took its current name, SC Paderborn 07, honouring the founding date of TuS Neuhaus.

Paderborn made their way into professional football in the 2000s. In the 2004-05 DFB-Pokal, the club, then still in the Regionalliga, caused a major sensation by reaching the round of sixteen. They beat Bundesliga side Hamburger SV along the way. The match later became infamous. Referee Robert Hoyzer had taken a bribe to manipulate the game in Paderborn’s favour. The Hoyzer scandal became the biggest match-fixing case in German football history. Nothing very special happened after that on the pitch for the rest of that season. But the publicity around Paderborn’s name was enormous. In 2005 the club was promoted to the 2. Bundesliga for the first time in over twenty years.

The defining story of SC Paderborn is their relationship with the Bundesliga. They have been promoted three times. And twice before, they were relegated straight back down in last place. The first promotion came in 2013-14, when coach André Breitenreiter guided them to a second-place finish in the 2. Bundesliga. Nobody expected Paderborn to survive in the top flight. And they were right. But the 2014-15 Bundesliga season produced one of the most extraordinary moments in the history of the competition. On 20 September 2014, SC Paderborn beat Hannover 96 3-2 at home in a Bundesliga match at Matchday 4. Midfielder Moritz Stoppelkamp scored a volley from 83 metres out. It remains the longest goal ever recorded in Bundesliga history. The goal briefly put Paderborn top of the Bundesliga table. Nothing very special happened for the rest of the season. They finished 18th and were relegated.

The second promotion came in 2018-19. Same story. Paderborn went straight back down after finishing 18th in 2019-20. The pattern was so consistent it became part of the club’s identity. A yo-yo club, people said. Up for a season, down again. Then the 2025-26 season changed the narrative. Under new head coach Ralf Kettemann, who replaced the popular Lukas Kwasniok when Kwasniok left for 1. FC Köln, Paderborn were one of the best teams in the 2. Bundesliga all season. Captain Felix Götze led the side with composure. Top scorer Filip Bilbija was a constant threat. Paderborn finished third in the final table. Third place in the 2. Bundesliga means a promotion play-off against the 16th-placed Bundesliga club.

That club was VfL Wolfsburg. A club with 29 consecutive seasons in the Bundesliga. A club that had never once been relegated in their entire history. On 25 May 2026, at the Home Deluxe Arena, Paderborn and Wolfsburg played the decisive second leg of the promotion play-off. Wolfsburg had the history. Paderborn had the crowd. After 90 minutes the tie was level. In extra time, Laurin Curda scored for SC Paderborn. The final whistle blew. VfL Wolfsburg were relegated from the Bundesliga for the first time ever. SC Paderborn 07 were going up. For the third time. But this time, the story might be different.

SC Paderborn 07 and the city of Paderborn

Paderborn is one of the oldest cities in Germany. The city stands at the source of the river Pader, which at just four kilometres is the shortest river in Germany. The Pader rises from over two hundred natural springs beneath the old city centre and flows into the river Lippe nearby. The Paderborner Dom, the city’s great cathedral, was first built here in the ninth century on the site of a palace of Charlemagne. Karl der Große held several important imperial assemblies at Paderborn. The cathedral was later rebuilt in its current Romanesque and Gothic form and remains the dominant landmark of the city today.

Paderborn is also a modern, growing city. The university campus sits not far from the stadium and brings a young population into the city centre. On matchdays students, families and long-standing Paderborn fans mix on the way to the Home Deluxe Arena. SC Paderborn 07 carry this deep local history with them. A club from an ancient city. A club that keeps coming back.

German influences

SC Paderborn 07 belongs to the Ostwestfalen-Lippe region in every way. The club and the city are not really separable from each other. Not only the long history of Paderborn as a city, also the character of the Ostwestfalen-Lippe region shapes the way people here relate to their football club. This is a region of medium-sized cities, of family businesses and practical people who know where they come from and what they stand for. The Home Deluxe Arena fits this identity well. It is not a giant arena. It is a compact and proud ground that the people of Paderborn really needed and really wanted. The Benteler company, which gave the stadium its first name, is itself a Paderborn institution with deep roots in the local economy. When you come to the Home Deluxe Arena for a match, you will feel quite fast that this is a club with a very strong sense of where it comes from and what it represents. Not only supporters from the city, also fans from the surrounding villages and smaller towns of Ostwestfalen-Lippe follow SC Paderborn 07 with great dedication.

SC Paderborn 07 Honours and Trophies

SC Paderborn 07 have no Bundesliga titles, but three promotions to the top flight and one of the most famous individual moments in Bundesliga history are achievements that supporters can be very proud of. Also the fact that they have reached the Bundesliga three times is something not many clubs from a city this size can say. SC Paderborn 07 rivalries

Main rivalry

The OWL Derby against Arminia Bielefeld

The biggest rivalry in SC Paderborn 07’s world is the derby against Arminia Bielefeld. Both clubs come from the Ostwestfalen-Lippe region, known locally as OWL. Paderborn and Bielefeld are about 35 kilometres apart. The derby between them is called the OWL-Derby or the Ostwestfalen-Derby. When both clubs are in the same division it is one of the most intense local fixtures in German football.

Bielefeld is the larger city. Their ground, the Schüco-Arena, holds over 27.000. But size has nothing to do with it in a derby. For Paderborn fans the OWL-Derby is one of the most important matches of any season, no matter where both clubs are in the table. The fans on both sides have a real dislike for each other, something that grew over many years of competition in the lower divisions of German football, long before either club ever reached the Bundesliga.

In the 2025-26 season both clubs played in the 2. Bundesliga together. Paderborn beat Bielefeld 4-3 at home. Bielefeld won 2-1 in the away fixture. Not only the table positions mattered in these games, also the local pride was at stake with every minute played. The OWL-Derby is the first match Paderborn fans circle on the calendar every season.

Further rivalries

The 2026 play-off rivalry with VfL Wolfsburg

A newer but very vivid rivalry grew out of the promotion play-off in May 2026. VfL Wolfsburg had spent 29 consecutive seasons in the Bundesliga without ever being relegated. On 25 May 2026, in the decisive second leg at the Home Deluxe Arena, Paderborn sent them down for the first time in the club’s history. Laurin Curda scored the decisive goal in extra time. For Paderborn supporters it was the greatest night in the club’s history. For Wolfsburg fans it was the most painful evening of recent memory. The result connects and divides these two clubs for years to come. Not only the result, also the manner of it, the noise in the Home Deluxe Arena that night and the full 15.000-seat crowd, will not be forgotten by anyone who was there.

Rivalry with Hannover 96

Hannover 96 is another club that SC Paderborn supporters have a complicated relationship with. The main reason is 20 September 2014: on that day Paderborn beat Hannover 3-2 at home when Moritz Stoppelkamp scored from 83 metres, the longest goal ever recorded in Bundesliga history. For Paderborn fans this moment is part of the club’s permanent identity, even though the season itself ended in relegation. Also in several 2. Bundesliga promotion battles over the years, the two clubs have competed directly, which has kept the rivalry alive well beyond that single famous match.
