The 2026 Finalissima will be played on March 27, 2026 between the winners of Euro 2024 and Copa America 2024. You can book all your Spain tickets and Argentina tickets now via our website.
This match will be a very special edition of the Finalissima, as it's only the fourth time the European champions face the Copa America winners in this prestigious intercontinental showdown. The competition was originally created in 1985 as the Artemio Franchi Cup, when France defeated Uruguay 2-0 at the Parc des Princes in Paris. In 1993, Argentina hosted Denmark in Mar del Plata, winning 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 draw. The tournament was then discontinued for nearly three decades before being relaunched as the Finalissima in 2022, when Argentina crushed Italy 3-0 at Wembley Stadium with goals from Lautaro Martínez, Ángel Di María, and Paulo Dybala.
Now Argentina will try to retain their title when they take on Spain at the iconic Lusail Stadium in Qatar — the same venue where Messi and his teammates lifted the 2022 World Cup trophy. Spain booked their place by winning a record fourth European Championship in Germany, defeating England 2-1 in the Berlin final. Argentina successfully defended their Copa America crown in the United States, beating Colombia 1-0 after extra time. With Lionel Messi set to face his protégé Lamine Yamal, this promises to be one of the most anticipated matches of the year.
