Middlesbrough Soccer Club are an English Premier Soccer Club, founded in 1876 by the Middlesbrough Cricket team in order for them to stay fit during the winter months. They play all their home matches at the Riverside Staduim which has a capacity of 35,100. Middlesbrough are also founding members of the Premier league which was formed in 1992. The club had severe financial issues in 1986 which nearly folded the club but a consortium led by current chairman Steve Gibson saved the club. Middlesbrough FC have only won the League cup back in 2004, it´s their first and only piece of silverware. They are currently managed by Aitor Karanka.     Honestly - l was unsure! But no need at all. Travelled to Istanbul for the Aston Villa game thinking it would be easy to get a ticket - it wasn't.
