Match Details
Arsenal vs Bournemouth takes place on Saturday, December 12, 2026 at the Emirates Stadium. The kick-off time and UK broadcast details for this fixture are still to be confirmed by the Premier League.
Emirates Stadium
The Emirates Stadium has been Arsenal's home since 2006, replacing the legendary Highbury. With a capacity of approximately 60,700, it is one of the largest and most modern stadiums in English soccer. The ground has witnessed many memorable moments in Arsenal's recent history and continues to provide a formidable home advantage for the Gunners.
Head-to-Head Record
Arsenal hold a commanding historical advantage in this fixture, having won the large majority of competitive meetings. In recent years, however, Bournemouth have become a genuine thorn in their side. In 2024/25 the Cherries became the first team to complete a league double over Arsenal since joining the Premier League, recording a 2-0 win at the Vitality Stadium in October 2024 (after a William Saliba red card) and a stunning 2-1 victory at the Emirates in May 2025 — their first-ever away win against the Gunners. Arsenal hit back with a 3-2 win at the Vitality in January 2026, but Bournemouth returned to north London in April 2026 and won at the Emirates once again.
Last Meeting: Arsenal 1-2 Bournemouth (April 11, 2026)
The most recent meeting, at the Emirates Stadium in April 2026, ended in a memorable Bournemouth victory. Eli Junior Kroupi gave the visitors the lead inside the opening quarter-hour before Viktor Gyokeres leveled from the penalty spot. Bournemouth's relentless high press kept troubling Arsenal, and Alex Scott struck the winner in the 74th minute after the hosts gave the ball away in a dangerous area. Arsenal pushed for an equalizer but could not find a way past goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic, slipping to only their second home league defeat of the season — a result that dented their title charge at the time.
Arsenal 2026-2027 Season
Arsenal go into this fixture as reigning Premier League champions. Under Mikel Arteta — named Premier League Manager of the Season — the Gunners ended a 22-year wait for the title in 2025/26, topping the table with the league's best defensive record after three consecutive runner-up finishes. They also reached the Champions League final for the first time in two decades, losing narrowly to Paris Saint-Germain on penalties, and finished as EFL Cup runners-up. The title-winning core remains the spine of the team: Bukayo Saka, captain Martin Odegaard, William Saliba, Declan Rice, Gabriel Magalhaes and striker Viktor Gyokeres, with strength in depth from the likes of Martin Zubimendi, Piero Hincapie, Eberechi Eze and emerging teenager Max Dowman. With the squad chasing honors at home and in Europe, every home fixture is a chance to keep their 2026-2027 campaign on track.
Bournemouth 2026-2027 Season
Bournemouth begin a new era under head coach Marco Rose, who has signed a three-year deal and took charge following the departure of Andoni Iraola. Iraola left after a record-breaking three-year spell that culminated in a sixth-place finish in 2025/26 and qualification for the Europa League — the first major European qualification in the club's history. Rose, a German coach with experience at RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Mönchengladbach, is known for the same kind of high-intensity, pressing soccer and inherits an exciting, well-organized squad. Evanilson, the emerging Eli Junior Kroupi, Alex Scott and David Brooks provide plenty of attacking threat, and after breaking new ground last season the Cherries will be eager to prove their progress is no fluke.
