Match Details
The match takes place at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday, October 17, 2026. The exact kickoff time and broadcast details will be confirmed closer to the date.
Hill Dickinson Stadium
The Hill Dickinson Stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock is Everton's magnificent 52,769-capacity home, which opened in August 2025 after 133 years at Goodison Park. Located on Liverpool's historic waterfront, the stadium features one of the most impressive single-tier stands in world soccer – a 13,000-seat structure inspired by Borussia Dortmund's famous Yellow Wall. The naming rights deal with the Hill Dickinson law firm is worth approximately £6 million per year. The move has transformed Everton's matchday revenue from around £19 million annually at Goodison to a projected £70 million at the new ground, giving the club significant financial muscle for the future.
Head-to-Head Record
Chelsea have dominated this fixture throughout the Premier League era, winning the large majority of the meetings, and they hold a remarkable unbeaten home run against Everton at Stamford Bridge stretching back to 1994 – one of the longest such streaks against any single club at the Bridge. Chelsea's biggest win in this fixture was a 6-0 demolition in April 2024, when Cole Palmer became the first player to score four goals against Everton in the 21st century. Recently, though, the tide has begun to turn at Everton's new home, where the Toffees produced an emphatic 3-0 win over Chelsea in March 2026.
Last Meeting: Everton 3-0 Chelsea (March 21, 2026)
The most recent meeting delivered a memorable night for Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. Beto opened the scoring in the 33rd minute and added a second just after the hour, becoming the first Everton player to score twice in a game that season, before Iliman Ndiaye curled a stunning third into the top corner in the 76th minute. The 3-0 win was widely regarded as Everton's best performance at their new home and capped a miserable stretch for Chelsea. Everton had lost the reverse fixture 2-0 at Stamford Bridge in December 2025, making the comprehensive win at the Hill Dickinson all the sweeter for the home fans.
Everton 2026-2027 Season
Under David Moyes' second spell in charge, Everton are settled into life at their stunning new stadium after finishing 13th in the Premier League last season. The move from Goodison Park has been transformational for the club, with increased revenue allowing for greater investment in the squad. Key players including captain Jordan Pickford, defenders Jarrad Branthwaite, James Tarkowski and Michael Keane, midfielders James Garner and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and forwards Iliman Ndiaye and Beto have been central to the team. Everton's home form at the Hill Dickinson Stadium continues to grow, with supporters creating an incredible atmosphere in their waterfront home.
Chelsea 2026-2027 Season
Chelsea begin a new era under Xabi Alonso, appointed on a four-year contract from July 1, 2026 after a turbulent 2025-26 campaign that saw three different managers, a 10th-place finish, an FA Cup final defeat and no European qualification. The former Real Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen boss inherits a talented squad built around top scorer João Pedro, creative force Cole Palmer and midfield leader Enzo Fernández, with Pedro Neto, Moisés Caicedo, Alejandro Garnacho and exciting young forward Estêvão adding further quality. Alonso will be aiming to bring stability and a return to the European places.
