Stadium information
Name:
Q2 Stadium
Capacity:
20,738
Address:
10414 McKalla Place, Austin, TX 78758, United States
Description:
Q2 Stadium opened in 2021, the same year as Austin FC's MLS debut, on the McKalla Place site in the north of the city. It is a ground with a roof around the entire perimeter and stands very close to the pitch, as it was designed specifically for football. Its great hallmark is the tremendous atmosphere, as it sells out for practically every match and is home to La Murga, the marching band that follows the team and parades around the stadium before kick-off, creating an atmosphere that is very distinctive in American football culture.
The best way to get to Q2 Stadium
Once you have your tickets for an Austin match, you will need to work out how to get to the stadium. Here are a few options to give you an idea of which one suits you best.
By train
Downtown Austin and the stadium are directly connected by the CapMetro Rail Red Line, which runs to Kramer station, just a short walk from the stadium, making this the most recommended option.
By car
Access to the stadium from the motorway is direct, so getting there by car is a fairly practical option. However, as it is in the north of the city, there can be heavy traffic in the area, so it is advisable to plan your arrival with plenty of time to spare. The ground also has car parks in the surrounding area.
By bike
Austin has a network of cycle lanes that continues to grow, and there are already routes that reach the stadium, so this is also a good option depending on where you are before heading to the match.
Q2 Stadium guide
Q2 Stadium is designed so that no seat is far from the pitch, which together with its roof creates an intense, noisy atmosphere, helped by its large fanbase that regularly turns out in big numbers for every match. That is where we come in, as we have tickets for every Austin match. The stadium is divided into four areas: the East and West sides and the North and South Ends.
West Side
This is the stadium's main stand, as this is the side where the suites, the club areas and the premium terrace are located, as well as the press box. It is also the section behind the benches. Being a side stand, the view from this section is exceptional, making it the place with the best seats in the ground.
East Side
The opposite side offers the same quality of view of the whole pitch, but with cheaper tickets. There is also a club area on this side, though it is smaller. It is without doubt the section with the best balance between price, atmosphere and view.
South End
This end is the stadium's Supporters Section, home to Los Verdes and Austin Anthem, the club's supporters' groups. It is normally a standing area, with chants for almost the entire match, and it is also the cheapest.
North End
This is the opposite end, with a much calmer, more family-friendly atmosphere and tickets that are usually more affordable than those on the sides. It is the other section with the lowest prices in the ground.
Which area should you choose?
So that you can make the best decision when buying your Austin tickets, we have put together this short table comparing the areas according to the preferences you may have, so you can pick the one that best matches what you are looking for and make the most of your experience.
| Priority | Best area | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Best atmosphere | South End | The stand of the supporters' groups, which makes it the noisiest and most entertaining throughout the match |
| Best view | Sides | As in any stadium, the sides offer a better perspective of the whole pitch |
| First visit | East Side | It is the section with the best balance between price, atmosphere and view |
| Families with children | South End or East Side | Both areas offer a more relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, while still having excellent facilities |
| Tight budget | Ends | The South End has the most affordable tickets, but if you would rather not be on the same side as the supporters' group, the North End is your other option |
| Seeing the players up close | West Side | These are the seats closest to the benches and the warm-up area, although in reality there are no seats that are very far from the pitch |
| Maximum comfort and exclusivity | West Side | This section is home to the premium areas, with the best facilities in the stadium |

Other information
Austin FC, the first professional sports team in the capital of Texas, made its MLS debut in 2021, with a huge response from the city. One of its great hallmarks is La Murga de Austin, a marching band made up of supporters that accompanies the team at every match. On top of that, the city has a strong Spanish-speaking culture, which translates into a fanbase that is very passionate about football and explains why many of their chants are in Spanish.
Austin FC honours
Austin do not yet have any trophies in the cabinet, which is only logical for a club that made its MLS debut in 2021. Their best season so far was 2022, when they reached the Western Conference final in only their second season. Every summer they also take on the Liga MX sides in the Leagues Cup, which means high-level matches throughout the season. Austin match tickets, from the cheapest to the most exclusive, are available at Livefootballtickets.com.
Rivalries
The Copa Tejas vs FC Dallas and Houston Dynamo
The Copa Tejas is the trophy contested every season by the state's three clubs: Austin, FC Dallas and Houston Dynamo. The winner is decided by the record of the head-to-head meetings between them in each season, which has turned the Texas derbies into the most eagerly awaited dates on the calendar.
