I think the fact that it took so long for the match ticket to actually become real was a major factor. All the problems building up to the game were completely wiped out as the admittance into the game couldn’t have been smoother.

Keep it up and will definitely consume ticket to you guys again. Thank you.

I was first hesitant about buying tickets through a website I hadn't heard of but I was very pleased with the service from LiveFootballTickets. I bought a reasonably priced ticket to the Arsenal v Manchester City Community Shield match and it was delivered the next day and successfully saved to wallet without any problems. On matchday the ticket scanning worked just fine and I was able to see a memorable match in my home city. Great booking experience! Highly recommended for football events

Stadium information

Name:

Estádio do Dragão

Capacity:

50,033

Address:

Via Futebol Clube do Porto, 4350-415 Porto, Portugal

Description:

The Estádio do Dragão is the home of FC Porto and has been since 2003. It replaced the club's former ground, the Estádio das Antas. The stadium was designed by Portuguese architect Manuel Salgado and built by Somague at a cost of €125 million. It was constructed to host matches at UEFA Euro 2004 and staged the opening match of that tournament between Portugal and Greece on 12 June 2004. The inauguration took place on 16 November 2003 with a friendly against Barcelona, which set the record attendance of 52,004. The ground has a capacity of 50,033, making it the third-largest football stadium in Portugal. It has since hosted the 2019 UEFA Nations League final and the 2021 UEFA Champions League final. The stadium is one of the proposed venues for the 2030 FIFA World Cup. Some of the 50,033 supporters can book their FC Porto tickets through our secure booking system.

Best way to travel to Estádio do Dragão

When you've booked your FC Porto tickets it's time to find out how you can get to the stadium. The club advises everybody to take public transport. These are the options you can use to get to the Stadium.

By Metro

The Estádio do Dragão has its own metro station, Estádio do Dragão, right next to the ground. It is the eastern terminus of the Porto Metro. Line A (blue) runs from Estádio do Dragão to Senhor de Matosinhos. Line B (red) runs to Póvoa de Varzim. Line E (violet) connects the stadium directly to Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport. Line F (orange) runs between Fânzeres and Senhora da Hora and also calls at the station. Follow the fans off the metro and you won't get lost.

By Bus

The STCP bus network serves the stadium area. Route 401 runs from Bolhão (Mercado) to S. Roque and passes the ground. Route 806 runs between Marquês and Avenida da Carvalha. The metro is the faster option on a matchday, but the buses cover much of the city centre and the eastern suburbs.

By Car

Access by car is possible via the VCI (Via de Cintura Interna), the ring road that passes right next to the stadium and gives a direct connection. Coming from the city centre, the main Alameda da Antas is another route towards the ground. Parking around the stadium is limited on a matchday, so the club recommends public transport.

By Bicycle

Cycling to the Estádio do Dragão is easier than you think. It is a quick and healthy way to make your journey and saves you a lot of money. There are 150 bicycle parking spots available at the stadium. On the bicycle you've got all the freedom you need. You can surpass traffic jams and avoid crowded public transport.

Estádio do Dragão guide

The Estádio do Dragão is one of the bigger ones in the Primeira Liga. The 50,033 seats are almost always sold out. That's where we come in, we've got you covered with tickets for every single FC Porto match. The stadium is divided in four stands, the South Stand, the North Stand, the East Stand and the West Stand.

South Stand

The South Stand is home of FC Porto's most vocal supporters. This is where the Super Dragões, the club's main ultras group, take seat. The stand is located behind one of the goals. The South Stand is known for the loudest atmosphere in the stadium. When you want to experience the real Portuguese football, you need to look for South Stand tickets. Whenever FC Porto play towards this goal, you will get the authentic FC Porto feeling.

North Stand

On the opposite side of the South Stand, you will find the North Stand. This stand is behind the other goal and is home to the Colectivo Ultras 95 supporters group. It is one of the noisier parts of the ground. Especially during the big games, you will feel the tension and the rivalry in the North Stand.

East Stand

Along the side of the pitch you will find the East Stand. This stand offers good sightlines across the entire pitch. Away supporters are housed in the upper tier of the East Stand for FC Porto home matches, so if you're following your team to the Dragão, this is the section to look for and remember to select the "away end" or away section when booking. The rest of the East Stand holds home fans.

West Stand

It won't be any surprise that this stand is on the opposite side of the East Stand. The West Stand is the main stand. It is located on the side of the dugouts, which gives you a little bit extra. You can hear the managers shouting and see the players warming-up from up close. This stand also holds the hospitality areas and the prestigious club level, so it's a bit more about the luxury and a bit less about the football atmosphere. But you know for sure you will have a great view.

Which stand should you choose?

It's important to be able to make the best decision when booking your FC Porto tickets. That's why we've created this table with a quick comparison about all four stands. Check what's important to you and you will find the best stand for your wishes.

Other information

The nickname "Dragões" (Dragons) and the dragon on the club crest come from the coat of arms of the city of Porto. The team plays in blue and white stripes, which is why they are also known as "os Azuis e Brancos". FC Porto are the most successful Portuguese club in European competition.

Portuguese influences

FC Porto is of course a real Portuguese club, but what are the actual Portuguese influences at the moment? On the managerial front the club is led by Italian head coach Francesco Farioli, appointed in July 2025, while the club president is André Villas-Boas, the former FC Porto, Chelsea and Tottenham manager. On the pitch things are different. Captain and goalkeeper Diogo Costa is Portuguese and a regular for the national team. Young Portuguese talents Rodrigo Mora and Martim Fernandes have worked their way into the team, with Alberto Costa and Francisco Moura adding more home-grown players to the squad. These players are leading the next generation at the Dragão.

Rivalries

Main Rivals

O Clássico against Benfica

The match between FC Porto and Benfica is known as O Clássico and is the biggest game in Portuguese football. The rivalry comes from the fact that the two clubs are the most successful and most supported in the country, with Porto representing the north and Benfica representing Lisbon and the south. The rivalry became heavier and heavier when the two clubs began to share almost every league title between them, turning each meeting into a fixture that often decides the destination of the Primeira Liga.

Sporting CP

FC Porto also have a strong rivalry with the third member of the "Big Three", Sporting CP. These three clubs have won every Primeira Liga title bar two in the league's history. When Porto travel to Lisbon to face Sporting, or host them at the Dragão, the title race is often on the line, which makes this one of the most watched fixtures of the season.

Minor Rivalries

Boavista

There is a geographic background to this rivalry with Boavista. Both clubs come from the city of Porto, which is why the fixture is known as the Derby da Invicta. Fans of the two Porto clubs never really liked each other. Boavista famously broke the "Big Three" stranglehold by winning the league in 2000/01, and the city derby always carries a real edge for both sets of supporters.

Frequently Asked Questions about FC Porto tickets

Frequently Asked Questions about FC Porto tickets

FC Porto away tickets are a bit harder to find than tickets for the home matches. This is due to the fact that there is much more space for home fans in the Estádio do Dragão, than there is for away fans in every Primeira Liga stadium. We managed to get our hands on FC Porto football tickets for almost every Primeira Liga match. Select the away match you want to attend and then look at the ticket inventory. All our away match tickets are labelled. The most used labels for the Dragões' away matches are: FC Porto section, Away section, FC Porto fans section and away end. When the section label isn't similar to these labels, the tickets are for the home team.
