I was first hesitant about buying tickets through a website I hadn't heard of but I was very pleased with the service from LiveFootballTickets. I bought a reasonably priced ticket to the Arsenal v Manchester City Community Shield match and it was delivered the next day and successfully saved to wallet without any problems. On matchday the ticket scanning worked just fine and I was able to see a memorable match in my home city. Great booking experience! Highly recommended for football events

Stadium information

Name:

PreZero Arena

Capacity:

30,150

Address:

Dietmar-Hopp-Allee 1, 74889 Sinsheim, Germany

Description:

The PreZero Arena opened on 10 July 2009 with a friendly against Borussia Dortmund and has been the home of TSG Hoffenheim ever since. A lot of people still call it the Rhein-Neckar-Arena, which was the name it carried for many years before the naming rights changed. The stadium is not in the village of Hoffenheim itself but in the nearby town of Sinsheim, which is where the land was available to build something truly modern. And modern it is. The retractable roof is the detail that makes the PreZero Arena different from most German stadiums. When it is closed, the noise stays inside and you get an atmosphere that you really don’t expect from a ground this size. The PreZero Arena holds 30,150 spectators and on a normal Bundesliga matchday you will not find many empty seats.

Best way to travel to PreZero Arena

When you’ve booked your TSG Hoffenheim tickets it’s time to find out how you can get to the stadium. The club advises everybody to take public transport. These are the options you can use to get to the PreZero Arena.

By Train

The train is the most straightforward way to reach the PreZero Arena. From Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof you take the S5 line towards Mosbach-Neckarelz and get off at Sinsheim (Elsenz). The journey takes around 35 minutes. From the station it is a 15-minute walk to the stadium, or you can take the matchday shuttle that runs from there. If you are coming from Heilbronn the same line stops at Sinsheim, so the connection works from both directions. On matchdays the trains are more frequent and you will see other fans heading in the same direction from the moment you board.

By Matchday Shuttle

TSG Hoffenheim runs a special shuttle service on every home matchday, direct from Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof to the PreZero Arena. This is also a good option for fans coming from Mannheim or Karlsruhe, who can travel to Heidelberg first and pick up the shuttle there. It is fast, it is affordable and you don’t have to think about the route at all. Check the TSG Hoffenheim website before you travel to see the exact departure times for that matchday.

By Bus

Local bus lines connect Sinsheim town centre to the stadium. On matchdays there are extra services running from the station and from a few points around Sinsheim. If you are already staying in Sinsheim itself, the bus is probably the easiest option and gets you to the ground without any complicated transfers. The stops are well signposted on matchdays so you won’t have trouble finding them.

By Bicycle

The Kraichgau region has a decent network of cycling paths and the PreZero Arena is reachable by bicycle from the surrounding towns. In the warmer months it is a pleasant ride through the countryside. You will find bicycle parking just outside the ground. On the bicycle you’ve got all the freedom you need. You can surpass traffic jams and avoid crowded public transport after the match.

PreZero Arena guide

The PreZero Arena is compact and modern, with a retractable roof that changes how the stadium feels depending on whether it is open or closed. The 30,150 seats are spread across four stands and the design keeps every supporter close to the pitch. The stadium is divided into the Nordkurve, the Südkurve, the Haupttribüne and the Gegengerade.

Nordkurve (North Stand)

The Nordkurve is where the most committed TSG Hoffenheim supporters take seat. The ultras are based here and the singing starts here and carries across the rest of the stadium from the first minute. The lower section has standing places and when the match is going well you will feel it most clearly in the Nordkurve. If you want to get the full experience of what it is like to be a Hoffenheim fan, this is the stand you need. Whenever Hoffenheim play towards this goal, the whole stand goes up a level.

Südkurve (South Stand)

On the opposite site of the Nordkurve you will find the Südkurve. Home supporters fill the lower sections, while away fans are placed in the upper tier. The retractable roof makes a big difference here. When it is closed and Hoffenheim are under pressure or pushing for a goal, the noise gets trapped inside and the Südkurve becomes very loud very quickly. It is a noticeably different experience from an open stadium and one of the things people mention when they visit the PreZero Arena for the first time.

Haupttribüne (Main Stand / West)

Along one side of the pitch you will find the Haupttribüne. This is the main stand with the press areas, VIP boxes and corporate hospitality on the middle tier. If you want comfort and the best sightlines in the stadium, this is the stand for you. The view along the length of the pitch from the central sections of the Haupttribüne is very good. It is a bit quieter here than in the Nordkurve or Südkurve, but you will still feel the atmosphere, especially when the roof is closed.

Gegengerade (East Stand)

On the opposite site of the Haupttribüne you will find the Gegengerade. The sightlines here are also very good and the pricing is usually a bit more accessible than the main stand. It gives you a clear side-on view of the whole pitch and a good look across at the Nordkurve and Südkurve. For a first visit to the PreZero Arena it is a popular choice, you get the full picture of the stadium without being in the most intense sections.

Which stand should you choose?

It’s important to be able to make the best decision when booking your TSG Hoffenheim tickets. That’s why we’ve created this table with a quick comparison about all four stands. Check what’s important to you and you will find the best stand for your wishes.

Priority Best Stand Why

Club history

TSG 1899 Hoffenheim was founded on 1 July 1899 in the village of Hoffenheim, which today has around 3,000 inhabitants. For most of their existence they were just a local club playing in the lower German football pyramid, the kind of club that almost nobody outside the region had heard of. Everything changed when Dietmar Hopp became involved. Hopp grew up in Hoffenheim and went on to co-found SAP, the software company, which made him one of the wealthiest people in Germany. In the 1990s he began putting serious money into the club and what followed was a rise through the German football system that nobody had seen before. By 2007 Hoffenheim had won the 2. Bundesliga and reached the top flight for the first time. A year later, in just their second Bundesliga season, they led the entire table for weeks under Ralf Rangnick and finished 7th. German football had to take notice. The PreZero Arena opened in 2009 and since then the club has never really looked back.

German influences

Despite the debates that have followed Hoffenheim because of how they were financed, the connection to the region is real. The academy in Hoffenheim has produced players who went on to become proper German internationals. Niklas Süle came through the youth system before becoming one of the best defenders in the country. David Raum, the Germany left back, also came from the Hoffenheim academy. Andrej Kramarić has been the heart of the team for many years and is the club’s all-time top scorer in the Bundesliga. Oliver Baumann, the goalkeeper who joined in 2014, now wears the captain’s armband and is the most experienced voice in the squad. The connection between the club and the Kraichgau region gives TSG Hoffenheim a local character that goes beyond the financial story.

Rivalries

Main Rivals

Baden-Württemberg Derby against VfB Stuttgart

The derby between TSG Hoffenheim and VfB Stuttgart is the most important regional fixture for Hoffenheim supporters. Both clubs come from Baden-Württemberg and the match carries a strong local pride on both sides. Stuttgart see themselves as the bigger and more traditional club, with a long history in German football, while Hoffenheim supporters are proud of what the club has built in a short time. The gap in history does not really matter on matchday. When both clubs meet at the PreZero Arena, the atmosphere reflects how much the result means to the fans.

Minor Rivalries

Rivalry with SC Freiburg

The rivalry with SC Freiburg is one that has grown over the years. Both clubs are from Baden-Württemberg and both have been regular Bundesliga sides for a long time now. The squad sizes and budgets are not that far apart, which means their matches often have a direct impact on where both clubs finish in the table. There is also an ideological edge to this one. Freiburg built their identity around sustainability and running a club on limited resources. Hoffenheim represent a completely different model. The fans know this and it gives the fixture a bit of extra meaning beyond the three points.

Rivalry with 1. FC Kaiserslautern

The rivalry with Kaiserslautern goes back to when both clubs crossed paths in the lower divisions of German football. Kaiserslautern have spent a lot of time outside the Bundesliga in recent years, but among older Hoffenheim supporters the memories of those earlier encounters are still there. When the two clubs end up in the same league, you always notice a bit of extra motivation on the Hoffenheim side.

Frequently Asked Questions about TSG Hoffenheim tickets

Frequently Asked Questions about TSG Hoffenheim tickets

TSG Hoffenheim away tickets are a bit harder to find than tickets for home matches. This is due to the fact that there is much more space for home fans in the PreZero Arena, than there is for Hoffenheim fans in every Bundesliga stadium. We managed to get our hands on TSG Hoffenheim football tickets for almost every Bundesliga match. Select the away match you want to attend and then look at the ticket inventory. All our away match tickets are labelled. The most used labels for Hoffenheim’s away matches are: Hoffenheim section, Away section, TSG fans section and away end. When the section label isn’t similar to these labels, the tickets are for the home team.
