Allianz Arena is the home stadium of Bayern Munich since 2005-2006. The club shared the stadium for 12 years with 1860 Munich. It's widely known for its exterior of inflated ETFE plastic panels, it is the first stadium in the world with a full colour changing exterior.

The police advise all football fans to take advantage of the extensive public transport services offered by the Munich transportation authority (Münchner Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund (MVV)), which will get you to matches safely and on time. Take the S-Bahn from Munich Main Station or Munich East Station to Marienplatz, a central transfer hub. From there take the U6 underground line (in the direction of Garching-Hochbrück) to Fröttmaning. The travel time from Marienplatz to Fröttmanning is approx. 16 minutes. From here visitors can get to the stadium via the Esplanade.
By Car
If you go by car, it's recommended to follow the signs in the city centre, on the motorways and parking areas. Once in the stadium area, please use all available lanes to get to the parking lots.
By Bike
Don't want the stress of the traffic jams on the road? Go to the stadium by bike! The Allianz Arena is very accessible by bike. the route is well signposted in the Munich bicycle network and there is loads of parking spaces for your bike.

1. Fc Nürnberg
1. Fc Nürnberg is one of the main rivals of Bayern Munich. This rivalry goes all the way back to the 1920s. Both clubs played in the same league in the mid-1920s, but in the 1920s and 1930s, Nürnberg was far more successful, winning five championships in the 1920s, making the club Germany's record champion. It took Bayern Munich 60 years to get that record away from their rivals. The fact both teams are based in Bavaria makes this rivalry even stronger.

There is also a rivalry between Bayern Munich and 1. FC Kaiserslautern. This rivalry originating in parts from a game in 1973, when Bayern lost 7–4 after leading 4–1. At the same time both clubs have been competing for German championship honours at various times in the Bundesliga as well as the city of Kaiserslautern together with the surrounding Palatinate having been part of Bavaria until a plebiscite after the end of the Second World War.
