Main Rivals

Manchester United
The match between Liverpool and Man United is often referred to as the North-West derby. Both teams are two of the most successful English football clubs. The rivalry between these teams is also based on the fact they both represent a major city in the United Kingdom.
The distance between Anfield and Goodison Park is just 3169 feet. The best ingredient for a fierce rivalry between two professional football clubs. This makes Everton a serious rival of Liverpool FC. The city of Liverpool is divided between Red (LFC) and Blue (Everton). The Merseyside derby is one of the most exciting derbies in the world of football.

Minor Rivalries

Although Liverpool & Chelsea are not geographically close to each other, the fixtures between these two clubs are still fierce. In the last 16 years, the two clubs have played each other an incredible 51 times. Who will ever the forget the famous 'Ghost Goal' in the 2005 Champions League Semi-Final at Anfield? Or the infamous 'Gerrard's Slip' at Anfield in 2014? Whenever these two clubs come up against each, there's always drama!
