Best way to travel to Anfield

When you've booked your Liverpool tickets it's time to find out how you can get to the stadium. The club advises everybody to take public transport. These are the options you can use to get to Anfield.

By Bus

With the 917 express bus service. This service will run direct from Liverpool city centre to Anfield every 10 minutes. The LFC Fan Support team will also be on hand to assist supporters using buses departing straight after the game.
The Soccerbus will be operating three hours prior to kick-off and up to ninety minutes after the final whistle. Soccerbus tickets can now be bought at any UK rail station by asking for a "plus Anfield/Goodison" ticket.
From Liverpool city centre, fans can also take the 26 or 27 from Liverpool ONE bus station or 17 from Queen Square bus station directly to the ground. The 68/168, which operates between Bootle and Aigburth, and the 14 and 19 (from Queen Square) stop a short walk away from the ground.
The 501 football service is also available and operates direct to Lime Street Station (Skelhorne Street) from Walton Lane for up to two hours after the final whistle. Adult fares are £2, children £1. Please note this service only operates post-match. The 502 service also operates two journeys from Anfield after each home game to Lime Street Station.

By Train

Lime Street Station is roughly two miles from Anfield. You can take a taxi from Lime Street Station or catch a bus that runs from the nearby Queen Square Bus Station. Fans can also use the Merseyrail network to link with the Soccerbus service which operate a shuttle bus service directly to the stadium. To follow this route, head towards Liverpool Central which is about a 5 minute walk from Liverpool Lime Street & purchase a ticket to Sandhills train station. Ask for a 'Soccerbus ticket' which grants you access to both the rail network and the Soccerbus shuttle service.

By Taxi

Taxi are also a viable option on a matchday. There are several taxi pick-up points are outside the stadium and on major routes, making it easier to get home after the final whistle.
