Stadium information
Name:
Coliseum
Capacity:
16,500
Address:
Av. Teresa de Calcuta, s/n, 28903 Getafe, Madrid, Spain
Description:
The Coliseum is one of the most recognisable stadiums in the south of Madrid. Home of Getafe since 1998, it has become a difficult ground for opposing teams because of the competitive spirit that the club has built in recent decades. It is a functional stadium, close to the pitch and with an atmosphere that reflects the fighting character of the Azulones.
The best way to get to the Coliseum
Once you have your tickets for a Getafe match, you will need to work out how to get to the stadium. Here are the best options so you can choose the one that suits you best.
By train
One of the most practical ways to get there is by using the commuter rail network, as Getafe is very well connected to Madrid and the surrounding area.
By underground
You can also get there using the underground network, depending on your starting point in Madrid. It is another convenient alternative if you want to avoid traffic.
By car
If you choose to go by car, we recommend setting off with plenty of time, as traffic can build up before matches and access to parking areas may take longer than expected.
Coliseum guide
The Coliseum offers a very direct matchday experience. Its compact design and the proximity of the stands to the pitch allow the supporters to make themselves felt in every match. That is where we come in, as we have tickets for every Getafe match. The stadium is divided into four main areas: West Stand, East Stand and the North and South Ends.
West Stand
This is usually the main stand of the stadium, where you will find the most comfortable seats and the best panoramic view of the pitch. It is the ideal area for supporters looking for comfort and a complete experience.
East Stand
This is another very good option for following the match. It offers a broad view of the pitch and usually has a great balance between atmosphere, visibility and price.
North End
This is one of the ends behind the goal and it can be one of the liveliest parts of the stadium, depending on the match and the distribution of the most vocal supporters.
South End
The South End also allows you to enjoy the match from behind the goal and is often a good alternative if you are looking for more accessible tickets.
Which area should you choose?
It is important to be able to make the best decision when booking your Getafe tickets. That is why we have created this table with a quick comparison of the different areas, so that you can identify which one best suits your preferences.
| Priority | Best area | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Best atmosphere | North End | Usually one of the most intense sections, depending on where the loudest supporters are located |
| Best views | West Stand or East Stand | These side stands offer the best panoramic view of the pitch |
| First visit | East Stand | Good balance between atmosphere, visibility and price |
| Families with children | West Stand | Usually the most comfortable and calm area |
| On a budget | South End | Often one of the most affordable areas |
| See the players up close | Lower West Stand | This is where you are closest to the pitch |
| Maximum comfort and exclusivity | West Stand | The most complete experience in the stadium |
