Bologna FC 1909 Tickets

Bologna team header graphic featuring team branding and ticket information for upcoming matches.
Bologna FC 1909, founded in 1909 and one of the founding members of Serie A, finished the 2025-26 season in 8th place, a solid result for the reigning Coppa Italia champions. Head coach Vincenzo Italiano, in charge since June 2024, had led the club to its first Coppa Italia title since 1974 on 14 May 2025, a 1-0 final win over AC Milan, before leaving Bologna on 28 May 2026 by mutual consent. Domenico Tedesco has been in charge from the bench since 9 June 2026. As holders, Bologna also played in the 2025-26 UEFA Europa League. In the Coppa Italia itself, the club was eliminated in the quarter-finals by SS Lazio, after a 1-1 draw in normal time, beaten on penalties. Captain Lewis Ferguson, the Scottish midfielder, wore the armband all season. Bologna FC 1909 play at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara, which after a large-scale renovation for the 1990 World Cup now holds around 38.279 spectators and carries the name of the club president who died suddenly in 1964, only days before the decisive title playoff. Also on a quiet midweek fixture, demand for a seat in this stadium rarely drops. Book all your Bologna FC 1909 tickets for the 2026-2027 season securely online on Livefootballtickets.com. We currently have 2359 tickets available across all Bologna fixtures, with prices starting from just $36 and an average ticket price of $145. This is the best and most trusted website to get your tickets to any world event. I have used them 3 times throughout the years, I have used other sites for football matches and they are so transparent and fast, the first time I used them was in 2018 for a Roma match and then made the mistake to use a different site for the PSG match in April and they were terrible, from the website, customer service and responses. this is the only site I trust and use!

Stadium information

Name:

Stadio Renato Dall’Ara

Capacity:

38.279

Address:

Via Andrea Costa 174, 40134 Bologna, Italy

Club:

Bologna FC 1909

Description:

The Stadio Dall’Ara sits at the foot of the Colle della Guardia hill, south-west of Bologna, and has been Bologna FC 1909’s home since 1927. It is named after Renato Dall’Ara, the club’s long-serving president, who died suddenly of a heart attack in 1964, only three days before the decisive title playoff against Inter Milan. The stadium was heavily renovated for the 1990 World Cup and now holds around 38.279 spectators. It isn’t just the remarkable Torre di Maratona, a freestanding tower that looms over the main stand, also the steep, close-to-the-pitch seating that makes the Stadio Dall’Ara one of the most striking grounds in Italy. For Bologna supporters, the Curva Bulgarelli, named after club legend Giacomo Bulgarelli, is their own end, while away fans are placed on the opposite side. You will feel the weight of this ground’s history the moment you walk up towards the stands for the first time.

The ground opened in 1927 under the name Stadio Littoriale, before being renamed in 1983 in honour of Dall’Ara. The renovation ahead of the 1990 World Cup, with a new roof and upgraded infrastructure, also turned the stadium into one of the most historically significant grounds in Italy without losing its character. Today, the Stadio Dall’Ara is regarded as one of the most architecturally important venues in Italian football, a status that makes the matchday experience here feel different from the more modern stadiums.

Best way to travel to the Stadio Dall’Ara

Once your Bologna FC 1909 tickets are booked, it’s time to work out how to reach the stadium. The city of Bologna recommends public transport on matchdays, mainly because parking around the ground is limited. Not just by bus, but also by train and bicycle, you will get to the Stadio Dall’Ara without any trouble. Working out the route can be a bit of stressful the first time round, but once you’ve done it once, you get used to it quickly. Here are your options:

By Train

Bologna Centrale is one of Italy’s main railway hubs, with high-speed connections to Milan, Rome, Florence and Venice. From the station, bus route 14 gets you within walking distance of the stadium in around 20 minutes. Also from Bologna Airport (Guglielmo Marconi), the Marconi Express, an automated cable car, gets you to the central station in around 7 minutes, from where you continue on to the stadium. Not just the train, long-distance buses also connect Bologna to most major cities in northern Italy.

By Bus

From the city centre, TPER bus lines serve the area around the Stadio Dall’Ara, with stops a short walk from the main entrances. Extra services are added on matchdays, not only towards the stadium before kick-off, but also back into town after the final whistle. The trip from central Bologna takes roughly 15 to 20 minutes, depending on traffic. Also on the biggest Serie A matchdays, when the ground is close to sold out, you will find the buses heading back very crowded right after the final whistle. Build in a bit of extra time for that.

By Bicycle

Bologna is a very bike-friendly city, and a well-developed network of cycle paths makes the ride from the historic centre out to the Stadio Dall’Ara doable in about 20 to 25 minutes. You’ll find bicycle parking near the stadium. Not only do you dodge all the matchday traffic this way, the ride back through the Portici, Bologna’s famous covered arcades, is also a genuinely nice way to end the evening. Most fans who try it once come back to it the next time round.

By Car

Bologna is well connected via the A1 motorway (Milan-Rome) and the A14 (Bologna-Taranto), both linked to the ring road. From the city centre, the stadium sits around 4 kilometres away via Via Andrea Costa, roughly a 15 to 20 minute drive outside peak hours. Those coming from Milan or Florence take the A1 straight towards Bologna and follow signs for the Stadio Dall’Ara. You’ll find paid parking in the areas around the ground, and stewards help direct traffic near the stadium on matchdays. Getting out of the area can be a bit slow after the final whistle. Not only around the stadium itself, also on the ring road, traffic can stay heavy for a while after a big match. Those who arrive early get a better choice of parking, and also an easier way out afterwards.

The stands at the Stadio Dall’Ara

The Stadio Dall’Ara is split into four main areas: the Curva Bulgarelli, the Curva Andrea Costa, the Tribuna Coubertin and the Tribuna Roberto Baggio. On Bologna home matchdays, the Curva Bulgarelli is the club’s own end, while away fans are usually placed in a separate section of the Curva Andrea Costa. Wherever you’re sitting, you’ll never feel like you’re watching from a distance, since the stadium’s steep build brings even the furthest seats close to the action. Also this is one of the reasons a matchday at the Stadio Dall’Ara feels so special. Not only the home end, also the away section sits close enough to feel part of the game.

Curva Bulgarelli

Named after club legend Giacomo Bulgarelli, the Curva Bulgarelli is Bologna FC 1909’s own end, the section where the club’s most loyal supporters gather behind the goal for the full 90 minutes. You will have the best atmosphere in the stadium right here, with a constant wall of noise, flags and choreography whenever Bologna play at home. For someone who has never experienced a curva before, all that noise so close can be a bit of stressful, but if you want to feel what Bologna really means to this city, the Curva Bulgarelli gives you a very special experience. A good choice if you plan to take seat only in a manner of speaking, since almost everybody around you will be standing and singing.

Curva Andrea Costa

On the opposite side of the pitch you will find the Curva Andrea Costa, part of which is set aside for away supporters on Bologna home matchdays. Away fans travelling to the Stadio Dall’Ara for a Bologna match are placed here, generally in the upper blocks. The view from up here is high but complete, and you will see the whole pitch laid out below you. Not only the distance, also the angle from this side is a bit more noticeable than from the side stands, so bring a good pair of binoculars if you want to follow every detail.

Tribuna Coubertin

The Tribuna Coubertin runs along one of the long sides of the pitch, right beneath the remarkable Torre di Maratona, and includes the players’ tunnel and the technical areas. From here you have a clear, side-on view of the whole pitch, and this is where most of the hospitality and premium seating is found. Tickets here are usually the most expensive in the ground. A good choice if you want to take seat close to the benches, with a full view of the action from the halfway line. You will feel closer to the coaching staff than in almost any other stand.

Tribuna Roberto Baggio

Directly across from the Tribuna Coubertin sits the Tribuna Roberto Baggio, named after the Italian star who played for the club during the 1997-98 season, and a popular choice for families and first-time visitors. From here you get a very good view over everything that happens on the pitch, spread across the same tiers as the Coubertin side. Tickets in the Tribuna Roberto Baggio are a bit more affordable than the Coubertin side, while the view is nearly identical. Not only is the sightline very good from the lower tier, also the upper tier gives you a full overview of the tactical picture. Also for a group visiting Bologna for the first time, this stand tends to be a comfortable and relaxed choice.

Which stand should you choose?

We made this table so you can compare all four areas of the Stadio Dall’Ara in one quick look. Check what matters most to you and you will find the right section.

Priority Best Stand Why
Best atmosphere Curva Bulgarelli Bologna’s own ultras, flags and drums, loudest part of the ground for 90 minutes
Best view Tribuna Coubertin Centrale Side-on sightlines, closest to the dugouts and the players’ tunnel
First-time visitor Tribuna Roberto Baggio Wide seating range, good overview, easy access via bus line 14
Families with children Tribuna Roberto Baggio lower tier Quieter than the Curva Bulgarelli, comfortable seating, clear sightlines
Budget-conscious Curva Bulgarelli upper tier More affordable than the main stands, still a full view of the pitch
Singing and standing Curva Bulgarelli Plan to stand, sing and follow the ultras for the full 90 minutes
Away fans Curva Andrea Costa (upper tier) Blocks towards the back of the stand, separate entrance, full pitch view
Premium comfort Tribuna Coubertin hospitality Hospitality areas, padded seating, best service in the stadium

Club history

Bologna FC 1909 was founded on 3 October 1909 and is one of the founding members of Serie A. Not only its long history makes the club stand out, also its seven Scudetti, won in the first half of the 20th century and again in the early 1960s. The Rossoblù’s last title, in 1963-64, ended in a piece of history: Bologna and Inter Milan finished the season level on points at the top, forcing Serie A’s first ever title playoff, held on 7 June 1964 in Rome. Only three days earlier, club president Renato Dall’Ara, who still gives the stadium its name today, had died suddenly of a heart attack. Also this is a piece of football history that still shapes the club’s identity today.

Bologna have won 7 Scudetti, the last in 1963-64, along with 3 Coppa Italia titles and the UEFA Intertoto Cup. The club’s first two Coppa Italia titles came in the 1970s, led by striker Giuseppe Savoldi, who scored twice in the 1970 final against Torino. Legendary players have worn the red and blue over the decades: Angelo Schiavio, with 258 goals between 1922 and 1939, still stands as the club’s all-time top scorer; Giacomo Bulgarelli, with 392 appearances between 1958 and 1975, holds the club’s appearance record and has the Curva Bulgarelli named after him; and Roberto Baggio, who played on loan for Bologna in 1997-98 and helped the club to 7th place with 22 goals in 30 Serie A matches.

The 2025-26 season was shaped by the club’s status as holders: after head coach Vincenzo Italiano led the club to its first Coppa Italia title since 1974 on 14 May 2025, a 1-0 final win over AC Milan, Bologna played in the 2025-26 UEFA Europa League as holders. In the league, the club finished the season in 8th place, before Italiano left by mutual consent on 28 May 2026. Domenico Tedesco has been the new head coach since 9 June 2026. In the Coppa Italia itself, Bologna, as holders, were eliminated in the quarter-finals by SS Lazio, after a 1-1 draw in normal time in their own Stadio Dall’Ara, beaten on penalties. Losing your own title on penalties can be a bit of stressful, but the 2026-2027 campaign under Domenico Tedesco is building on that foundation.

Bologna FC 1909 and the city of Bologna

Bologna is a university city of around 390.000 people in Emilia-Romagna, known for its famous Portici, miles of covered arcades, and one of the oldest universities in the Western world. Football sits at the centre of daily life in this city, and Bologna FC 1909 is considered one of the oldest and most historic football clubs in Italy. Also the whole Emilia-Romagna region follows the club closely, with Bologna seen, well beyond the city limits, as a cultural centre of the region.

Bologna is also a city with a proud and independent identity, one that does not bow to Milan or Rome, a self-image that has shaped supporters of the club across generations. On matchdays, the streets around the Stadio Dall’Ara fill with fans in red and blue, and the walk under the Portici on the way to the stadium has become part of the ritual for generations of Bolognese supporters. Also the bars around Piazza Maggiore fill up quickly before kick-off, so if you want a table, arriving a bit early makes things easier.

Famous players

Bologna FC 1909 has produced or hosted some of the greatest names in football history over the decades. Angelo Schiavio, with 258 goals between 1922 and 1939, remains the club’s all-time top scorer to this day. Giacomo Bulgarelli made more appearances than anyone else in club history, 392 between 1958 and 1975, and gave his name to the Curva Bulgarelli. Giuseppe Savoldi scored a decisive brace in the 1970 Coppa Italia final against Torino, before moving to Napoli in 1975 for what was then a record transfer fee. Roberto Baggio, one of the greatest Italian players of his generation, played on loan for Bologna in 1997-98 and led the club to 7th place with 22 goals in a single season. Not only the forwards, also Bologna’s midfielders, from Bulgarelli through to current captain Lewis Ferguson, have their own long line of legends. Also the club’s defenders have their own share of the club’s history across the decades.

The biggest rivalry in Bologna’s world is the Derby dell’Appennino against ACF Fiorentina, named after the Apennine mountains that separate the two cities. First played in 1926-27, Fiorentina’s debut season in Italy’s top flight, the real rivalry between supporters took shape in the 1970s as ultra culture emerged. Not only on the pitch, also off it, this fixture has been played with real intensity for decades. Also outside Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany, this match is watched closely all across Italy. Fully understanding this rivalry from the outside can be a bit of stressful, given how deep the feelings run on both sides.

One particularly bitter chapter in this rivalry came in 2005, when Fiorentina won on the final day of the season and, after an extra playoff against Parma, sent Bologna down to Serie B. Through the end of the 2024-25 season, Fiorentina led the all-time head-to-head 44 wins to 29. Also outside Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany, this match is followed closely all across Italy. You will hear supporters on both sides argue for years about past editions of this derby.

Rivalry with Parma and Modena

As Emilia-Romagna’s flagship club, Bologna also carry regional rivalries with neighbouring Parma and Modena, built on decades of competing for footballing bragging rights in the region. Also that 2005 playoff against Parma, which decided Bologna’s relegation, has only sharpened this rivalry further. Not only in Bologna itself, also across the whole of Emilia-Romagna, matches against these two neighbours are seen as especially loaded with emotion, regardless of where the clubs sit in the table at the time.

We have managed to get our hands on Bologna FC 1909 football tickets for almost every Serie A match. Select the away match you want to attend, then look at the ticket inventory. All our away match tickets are labelled. The most used labels for Bologna’s away matches are: Bologna section, Away section, Visiting supporters section and away end. Working this out on your own can be a bit of stressful, so ask our support team if you are ever unsure.
