Atalanta BC Tickets

Atalanta team header graphic featuring team branding and ticket information for upcoming matches.
Atalanta BC, founded in 1907 by students of the Liceo Classico Paolo Sarpi in Bergamo and named after the heroine of Greek mythology, finished the 2025-26 Serie A season in 7th place, a solid result in a season that went through three different head coaches. Gian Piero Gasperini, who had shaped the club for nine years and won the 2024 Europa League title, left Atalanta in the summer of 2025 to join AS Roma. His successor, Ivan Jurić, was sacked as early as 10 November 2025 after seven matches without a win, with the team down in 13th place at the time. Raffaele Palladino took over the very next day and guided the club to 7th place, securing Conference League qualification, only to be let go himself on 9 June 2026. Since 15 June 2026, Maurizio Sarri has been in charge from the bench. Atalanta also had a season to remember in the Coppa Italia: after a 3-1 quarter-final win over Juventus on 5 February 2026, the club lost the semi-final to SS Lazio on penalties, with Lazio goalkeeper Edoardo Motta saving four spot kicks in a row. Captain Marten de Roon, in the role since 2023-24 and therefore the first foreign captain in the club’s history, set a new club appearance record on 22 March 2026 with his 436th match. Atalanta play at the New Balance Arena (Gewiss Stadium until 2025) in Bergamo, which after a large-scale renovation between 2019 and 2024 now holds around 24.950 spectators. Also on a quiet midweek fixture, demand for a seat in this stadium rarely drops. Book all your Atalanta BC tickets for the 2026-2027 season securely online on Livefootballtickets.com. We currently have 2582 tickets available across all Atalanta fixtures, with prices starting from just $42 and an average ticket price of $173. Fans can purchase tickets for all Atalanta games throughout the season, home and away alike.

Superb! Easy to purchase a ticket. I had a live customer service chat once, the staff member was so polite, helpful and informative. I loved the communication after purchase. This is the best and most trusted website to get your tickets to any world event. I have used them 3 times throughout the years, I have used other sites for football matches and they are so transparent and fast, the first time I used them was in 2018 for a Roma match and then made the mistake to use a different site for the PSG match in April and they were terrible, from the website, customer service and responses. this is the only site I trust and use!

Stadium information

Name:

New Balance Arena (Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia)

Capacity:

24.950

Address:

Viale Giulio Cesare 18, 24124 Bergamo, Italy

Club:

Atalanta BC

Description:

The New Balance Arena, known as the Gewiss Stadium until that sponsorship deal ran out in 2025, sits in the Borgo Santa Caterina district right in the heart of Bergamo, and has been Atalanta BC’s home since 1928. Between 2019 and 2024, the stadium went through a full renovation costing over €100 million, with the new Curva Sud opening on 8 September 2024 for the start of the 2024-25 season. It isn’t just the modern facilities that stand out, also the tight, steep build brings the stands surprisingly close to the pitch, amplifying the noise inside the stadium. For Atalanta supporters, the Curva Nord is their own end, while away fans are placed on the opposite side. You will feel the weight of the ground’s history the moment you walk up towards the stands for the first time. It is a stadium that is hard to take in fully on a first visit.

The ground opened on 23 December 1928 and has carried several names over the decades, before becoming the Gewiss Stadium in 2019 and then the New Balance Arena in 2025. The renovation of recent years, with new covered stands and better sightlines at every level, also turned the stadium into one of the most modern in Italy without losing its historic character. Today, Atalanta do not share the city of Bergamo with any other major Serie A club, which gives the New Balance Arena an unusually close bond with its city, one that sets the matchday experience here apart from the big metropolitan clubs.

Best way to travel to the New Balance Arena

Once your Atalanta BC tickets are booked, it’s time to work out how to reach the stadium. The city of Bergamo recommends public transport on matchdays, mainly because parking around Borgo Santa Caterina is limited. Not just by bus, but also by train and bicycle, you will get to the New Balance Arena without any trouble. Working out the route can be a bit of stressful the first time round, but once you’ve done it once, you get used to it quickly. Here are your options:

By Train

Bergamo is served by Bergamo railway station, well connected to Milan, Brescia and the rest of Lombardy. Regional trains get you here in around 50 minutes from Milano Centrale. From Bergamo station, take bus line 1 or 3 towards Borgo Santa Caterina, from where the stadium is just a few minutes on foot. Also from Milan Bergamo Airport (Orio al Serio), which despite its name is actually in Bergamo, a short bus or taxi ride of around 15 minutes gets you to the stadium. Not just the train, long-distance buses also connect Bergamo to most major cities in northern Italy.

By Bus

From the city centre, ATB bus lines serve the area around the New Balance Arena, with stops a short walk from the main entrances. Extra services are added on matchdays, not only towards the stadium before kick-off, but also back into town after the final whistle. The trip from central Bergamo takes roughly 15 to 20 minutes, depending on traffic. Also on the biggest Serie A matchdays, when the ground is close to sold out, you will find the buses heading back very crowded right after the final whistle. Build in a bit of extra time for that.

By Bicycle

Bergamo is a compact city, and a growing network of cycle paths makes the ride from the historic centre out to the New Balance Arena doable in about 15 to 20 minutes. You’ll find bicycle parking near Borgo Santa Caterina. Not only do you dodge all the matchday traffic this way, the ride back through the streets of the lower town in the evening is also a genuinely nice way to end the night. Most fans who try it once come back to it the next time round. Also for a first-timer who doesn’t know Bergamo’s traffic well, this option can end up feeling like the simplest of them all.

By Car

Bergamo is easily reached via the A4 motorway (Milan-Venice) and the Tangenziale Sud ring road, both of which feed into the streets around Borgo Santa Caterina. From the city centre, the stadium sits around 2 kilometres away via Viale Giulio Cesare, roughly a 10 to 15 minute drive outside peak hours. Those coming from Milan or Brescia take the A4 straight towards Bergamo and follow signs for the New Balance Arena. You’ll find paid parking in the areas around the ground, and stewards help direct traffic near the stadium on matchdays. Getting out of the area can be a bit stressful after the final whistle. Not only around the stadium itself, also on the Tangenziale, traffic can stay heavy for a while after a big match. Those who arrive early get a better choice of parking, and also an easier way out afterwards.

The stands at the New Balance Arena

The New Balance Arena is split into four main areas: the Curva Nord, the Curva Sud, the Tribuna Est and the Tribuna Ovest. On Atalanta home matchdays, the Curva Nord is the club’s own end, while away fans are usually placed in a separate section of the Curva Sud. Wherever you’re sitting, you’ll never feel like you’re watching from a distance, since the stadium’s tight, steep build brings even the furthest seats close to the action. Also this is one of the reasons a matchday at the New Balance Arena feels so special. Not only the home end, also the away section sits close enough to feel part of the game.

Curva Nord

The Curva Nord is Atalanta BC’s own end, the section where the club’s most loyal supporters gather behind the goal for the full 90 minutes. You will have the best atmosphere in the stadium right here, with a constant wall of noise, flags and choreography whenever Atalanta play at home. For someone who has never experienced a curva before, all that noise so close can be a bit of stressful, but if you want to feel what Atalanta really means to this city, the Curva Nord gives you a very special experience. A good choice if you plan to take seat only in a manner of speaking, since almost everybody around you will be standing and singing.

Curva Sud

On the opposite side of the pitch you will find the Curva Sud, part of which is set aside for away supporters on Atalanta home matchdays. Away fans travelling to the New Balance Arena for an Atalanta match are placed here, generally in the upper blocks. The view from up here is high but complete, and you will see the whole pitch laid out below you. Not only the distance, also the angle from this side is a bit more noticeable than from the side stands, so bring a good pair of binoculars if you want to follow every detail.

Tribuna Est

The Tribuna Est runs along one of the long sides of the pitch and includes the players’ tunnel and the technical areas. From here you have a clear, side-on view of the whole pitch, and this is where most of the hospitality and premium seating is found. Tickets here are usually the most expensive in the ground. A good choice if you want to take seat close to the benches, with a full view of the action from the halfway line. You will feel closer to the coaching staff than in almost any other stand.

Tribuna Ovest

Directly across from the Tribuna Est sits the Tribuna Ovest, a popular choice for families and first-time visitors. From here you get a very good view over everything that happens on the pitch, spread across the same tiers as the Est side. Tickets in the Tribuna Ovest are a bit more affordable than the Est side, while the view is nearly identical. Not only is the sightline very good from the lower tier, also the upper tier gives you a full overview of the tactical picture. Also for a group visiting Bergamo for the first time, this stand tends to be a comfortable and relaxed choice.

Which stand should you choose?

We made this table so you can compare all four areas of the New Balance Arena in one quick look. Check what matters most to you and you will find the right section.

Priority Best Stand Why
Best atmosphere Curva Nord Atalanta’s own end, flags and drums, loudest part of the ground for the full 90 minutes
Best view Tribuna Est Centrale Side-on sightlines, closest to the dugouts and the players’ tunnel
First-time visitor Tribuna Ovest Wide seating range, good overview, easy access via bus line 1 or 3
Families with children Tribuna Ovest lower tier Quieter than the Curva Nord, comfortable seating, clear sightlines
Budget-conscious Curva Nord upper tier More affordable than the main stands, still a full view of the pitch
Singing and standing Curva Nord Plan to stand, sing and follow the ultras for the full 90 minutes
Away fans Curva Sud (upper tier) Blocks towards the back of the stand, separate entrance, full pitch view
Premium comfort Tribuna Est hospitality Hospitality areas, padded seating, best service in the stadium

About Atalanta BC

Current Manager:

Maurizio Sarri

Current Captain:

Marten de Roon

League Position Last Season:

7th place, Serie A 2025-26

Club history

Atalanta BC was founded in 1907 by students of the Liceo Classico Paolo Sarpi in Bergamo and named after the heroine of Greek mythology, a swift huntress who feared no man in a footrace. Not only does the unusual name make Atalanta stand out, also the fact that the Italian football federation only officially recognised the club in 1914. It took until 1962-63 for the club to celebrate its only Coppa Italia title to date, on top of six Serie B titles and one Serie C title won in earlier decades. Also this is a piece of football history that still shapes the club’s identity today as a smaller but proud club.

It was only under head coach Gian Piero Gasperini, who ran the club for nine years from 2015 to 2025, that Atalanta became a genuine force in European football. Under Gasperini, the club reached the Serie A top four six times and crowned that era on 22 May 2024 by winning the UEFA Europa League, a 3-0 final win over Bayer 04 Leverkusen in Dublin, in which Ademola Lookman scored a hat-trick. This was the club’s first major European title and it ended Leverkusen’s remarkable unbeaten run. You will find a club that, in the space of just a few years, went from Serie A mid-table to European champions, a rise followed with real respect all across Italy.

The 2025-26 season brought plenty of turmoil on the bench. After Gasperini left for AS Roma in the summer of 2025, Ivan Jurić took charge, only to be sacked as early as 10 November 2025 after seven matches without a win, with the team down in 13th place. Raffaele Palladino stepped in the very next day and guided Atalanta to a solid 7th place, securing Conference League qualification, but he too had to leave his post on 9 June 2026. Since 15 June 2026, Maurizio Sarri has been the new head coach. Also in the Coppa Italia, the club had a season to remember in 2025-26: after a 3-1 quarter-final win over Juventus on 5 February 2026, Atalanta lost the semi-final to SS Lazio on penalties, following a 2-2 draw over the first leg, with Lazio goalkeeper Edoardo Motta saving four spot kicks in a row. Losing a semi-final that close on penalties can be a bit of stressful, but the 2026-2027 campaign under Maurizio Sarri is building on that foundation.

Atalanta BC and the city of Bergamo

Bergamo is a city of around 120.000 people in Lombardy, marked by a medieval upper town and a lively lower town, where football sits right at the centre of daily life. Unlike Milan or Rome, Bergamo does not share a big club with a city rival, which makes Atalanta a rare case among Europe’s major clubs and gives the bond between the club and the city an unusually close feel. Also the whole province of Bergamo follows the club very closely, with Atalanta seen as a symbol of the wider region, well beyond the city limits itself.

Bergamo is also a city with a proud identity, often labelled “provincial” next to the big metropolitan centres of Milan and Rome, a status that supporters and players of the club have turned into genuine sporting success over the decades. On matchdays, the streets around Borgo Santa Caterina fill with fans in black and blue, and the walk out to the New Balance Arena has become part of the ritual for generations of Bergamo supporters. Also the bars around Piazza Vecchia, up in the old town, fill up quickly before kick-off, so if you want a table, arriving a bit early makes things easier.

Famous players

Atalanta BC has developed some of the most sought-after players in Europe in recent years. Ademola Lookman scored a historic hat-trick in the 2024 Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen, before joining Atlético Madrid in February 2026, but he will forever be linked to the biggest success in the club’s history. Captain Marten de Roon, in the role since 2023-24 and therefore the first foreign captain in the club’s history, set a new club appearance record on 22 March 2026 with his 436th match, overtaking previous record holder Gianpaolo Bellini. Not only the forwards, also the defensive work under Gasperini turned Atalanta, for years, into one of the league’s most prolific sides while still being hard to break down. Also the club’s midfielders, from the Gasperini era through to today, have their own share in this historic rise.

Atalanta BC Honours and Trophies

Atalanta BC have won 1 Coppa Italia title, along with 6 Serie B titles, 1 Serie C title and the 2023-24 UEFA Europa League. Also this is an achievement supporters can be very proud of. Not only domestically, also on the international stage, Atalanta is among the clubs with a genuine European trophy to their name. It is a remarkable record for a club long seen as a small provincial side. Atalanta BC rivalries

Main rivalry

The Derby della Lombardia against Brescia

The biggest rivalry in Atalanta’s world is the Derby della Lombardia against Brescia Calcio, a rivalry with roots going back more than 900 years, to medieval territorial disputes between the two cities. Not only on the pitch, also off it, this fixture has been played with real intensity for generations. Also outside Lombardy, this match is followed closely all across Italy whenever both clubs happen to play in the same division. Fully understanding this rivalry from the outside can be a bit of stressful, given how deep the feelings run on both sides.

With Brescia mostly playing in Serie B in recent seasons, there was no direct league meeting between the two clubs in 2025-26. The Derby della Lombardia still remains the most emotionally important fixture for Atalanta supporters, one that goes well beyond football and captures a rivalry between Bergamo and Brescia stretching back centuries. You will hear supporters on both sides argue for years about past editions of this derby, should a new meeting in the same division come around in future seasons.

Further rivalries

Rivalry with the big Milan clubs

As the smaller club located right next to Milan, Atalanta have carried an ambivalent rivalry with both Inter Milan and AC Milan for decades, shaped by Bergamo’s proud self-image as the “David” facing the big Milanese “Goliaths”. Also the recent success under Gasperini, including several direct battles for Champions League places, has only sharpened this rivalry further. Not only in Bergamo itself, also across the whole country, every Atalanta match against the Milan clubs is seen as a measure of how far the former provincial club has come.

Frequently asked questions about Atalanta BC tickets

Frequently asked questions about Atalanta BC tickets

Atalanta BC away tickets are a bit harder to find than tickets for home matches. This is due to the fact that there is much more space for home fans in every Serie A stadium than there is for Atalanta supporters in those grounds. We have managed to get our hands on Atalanta BC football tickets for almost every Serie A match. Select the away match you want to attend, then look at the ticket inventory. All our away match tickets are labelled. The most used labels for Atalanta’s away matches are: Atalanta section, Away section, Visiting supporters section and away end. When the section label does not look like any of these, the tickets are for the home team. Not only the label, also the seating map next to it will show you exactly where in the ground you will be. Working this out on your own can be a bit of stressful, so ask our support team if you are ever unsure.
