Fratton Park stadium guide
Fratton Park is one of the most traditional and atmospheric grounds in English football. The stadium is divided into four stands: the South Stand, the North Stand, the Fratton End and the Milton End. Whichever league Portsmouth are playing in, we've got you covered with tickets for every Pompey match.
South Stand
The South Stand is the most iconic stand at Fratton Park, designed by the legendary stadium architect Archibald Leitch and opened in 1925. Its distinctive crisscross steelwork and classic roof gable make it one of the finest examples of football's architectural heritage still in use today. Running the length of the pitch, it houses the press box, executive facilities and the club's main hospitality areas and offers excellent views across the entire pitch.
North Stand
Opposite the South Stand runs the North Stand, another two-tiered stand that stretches the full length of the pitch. This stand offers good views of the action and is a traditional part of the Fratton Park experience. Work has been ongoing to improve the facilities in this part of the ground as part of the stadium's wider refurbishment programme.
Fratton End
Behind one of the goals sits the Fratton End, home to Portsmouth's most loyal and vocal supporters. This stand is where you'll find the club's most passionate fans in full voice and is the most atmospheric part of the ground on a matchday. The Fratton End is at the heart of the Fratton Park experience and offers unobstructed views throughout.
Milton End
Behind the other goal sits the Milton End, which is where away supporters are housed for Portsmouth home matches. If you're following your team to Fratton Park, this is the section to look for – remember to select the "away end" or away section when booking. Up to around 2,100 visiting fans can be accommodated here and the views are generally very good.
Which stand should you choose?

Rivalries
Main Rivals
South Coast Derby against Southampton
The fiercest rivalry Portsmouth have is with Southampton, with the match between the two known as the South Coast Derby. The rivalry comes from the fact that both clubs share the south coast of England and have competed for local supremacy for well over a century. Even when the two clubs aren't in the same division, the derby remains one of the most passionately contested fixtures in English football, and fans of both teams can't wait for it to return.
Minor Rivals
Brighton & Hove Albion
The rivalry with Brighton & Hove Albion is a strong south coast one rooted in close geography and long-running competition along the English south coast. The two clubs don't meet as often as they once did, as they have frequently found themselves in different divisions, and fixtures between sides in different leagues tend to keep rivalries a little less heated. Even so, a meeting between Portsmouth and Brighton always carries a bit of extra edge.
