The experience was fabulous! I must say that everything was fully professional. From ordering my ticket, and getting two confirmation emails. Then close to the event an email indicating that the seller was trying to get in touch with me. Once I gained contact with him I soon received the ticket. Yes, I was nervous going through the gate at the stadium but I think this was due to my first experience with livefootballtickets. I highly recommend this company and will use them again.

The organisation, delivery and ease of the process was great. The seats we chose (in the San Siro) were outstanding and the game itself was a one-off, in terms of twists and turns.

Stadium information

Name:

Stade Pierre-Mauroy

Capacity:

50,186

Address:

261 Boulevard de Tournai, 59650 Villeneuve-d'Ascq, France

Description:

The Stade Pierre-Mauroy has been LOSC Lille's home since 2012, when the club left the old Stade Nord and moved into one of the most modern stadiums in France. It sits in Villeneuve-d'Ascq, just outside the city, with a capacity of 50,186 — the fourth-largest stadium in the country. It was named after Pierre Mauroy, the former Mayor of Lille and Prime Minister of France, shortly after his death in 2013. The stadium has a retractable roof and a pitch that can actually be lifted and moved, so the ground doubles up as an indoor arena for concerts and other sports. It has also hosted Euro 2016 and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Best way to travel to Stade Pierre-Mauroy

When you've booked your Lille tickets it's time to find out how you can get to the stadium. The club advises everybody to take public transport. These are the options you can use to get to the Stadium.

By Metro

The metro is the fastest and most convenient way to get to Stade Pierre-Mauroy. Take Metro Line 1 in the direction of 4 Cantons — Stade Pierre-Mauroy, which is the last stop on the line and drops you right next to the ground. Follow the Lille fans and you won't get lost. Line 1 runs through the heart of the city and connects to both Lille-Flandres and Lille-Europe stations, so wherever you are coming from you should be able to get to the stadium without any problems.

By Bus

Bus is a fast and convenient option with several routes serving the area around the stadium. Lines 18, 32, 66 and B1 all stop close to the ground. High frequency services on the Ilévia network will get you within a short walk of the stadium from many parts of the Lille metropolitan area.

By Train

Lille is one of the easiest cities in France to reach by train. Lille-Flandres and Lille-Europe stations are both served by TGV and Eurostar, with direct connections from Paris, Brussels and London. From either station, hop on Metro Line 1 towards 4 Cantons and you'll be at the stadium in around 20 minutes.

By Bicycle

Cycling to Stade Pierre-Mauroy is easier than you think. The city has a good network of cycle paths and the V'Lille bike-sharing scheme has docking stations across the metropolitan area. On a bike you can get past the traffic jams and avoid the crowded metro on matchday. From Villeneuve-d'Ascq and the eastern parts of Lille it's a quick and easy ride.

Stade Pierre-Mauroy stadium guide

The Stade Pierre-Mauroy is one of the bigger stadiums in French football. The 50,186 seats sit under a retractable roof, which keeps the noise in really well on big European nights. That's where we come in, we've got you covered with tickets for every single LOSC Lille match. The stadium is divided in four stands: Tribune Nord, Tribune Sud, Tribune Est and Tribune Ouest.

Tribune Nord

The Tribune Nord is home of LOSC's most vocal supporters. This is the place where the die-hard Lille fans take seat. The Tribune Nord is known for the loudest atmosphere in the stadium. When you want to experience real French football, you need to look for Tribune Nord tickets. The stand is located behind one of the goals. Whenever Lille play towards this goal, you will get the authentic Lille feeling.

Tribune Sud

On the opposite side of the Tribune Nord, you will find the Tribune Sud. This stand holds home fans across most of the stand and away fans in a section of the lower tier. Especially during the Derby du Nord against Lens, you will feel the tension and rivalry in the Tribune Sud.

Tribune Est

Along the side of the pitch you will find the Tribune Est. This stand offers the perfect sightlines across the entire pitch. For the business class experience you can take seat in the prestigious club level. In the Tribune Est you find a real hospitality experience. In the Tribune Est it's a bit more about the luxury and a bit less about the football atmosphere. But you know for sure you will have one of the best views in the stadium.

Tribune Ouest

It won't be any surprise that this stand is on the opposite side of the Tribune Est. There are also quite a lot of similarities with the Tribune Est. You've got amazing sightlines, but will also be surrounded by a bit more quieter fans. The Tribune Ouest is located on the side of the dugouts, which gives you a little bit extra. You can hear the managers shouting and see the players warming-up from up close.

Which stand should you choose?

It's important to be able to make the best decision when booking your Lille tickets. That's why we've created this table with a quick comparison about all four stands. Check what's important to you and you will find the best stand for your wishes.

Priority Best Stand Why

Other information

LOSC Lille were founded in 1944 when two of the region's biggest clubs, Olympique Lillois and SC Fives, merged together. Both clubs were founding members of the French Division 1, and Olympique Lillois had won the very first French league title back in 1933. The newly formed LOSC didn't hang around. In the years right after the Second World War they became the dominant force in French football and picked up the nickname La Machine de Guerre — The War Machine. They did the league and cup double in 1946 and collected seven major trophies in a single decade. Things went quieter for a long time after that, but the club came roaring back under Christophe Galtier, winning another double in 2011 and then, most famously, beating PSG to the Ligue 1 title in 2021. Lille are also well known for producing and selling top talent — Eden Hazard, Nicolas Pépé and Yohan Cabaye all came through the club.

French influences

Lille have always had strong French roots and the current squad continues that tradition. Under Bruno Génésio, the club had another solid 2025-26 campaign, finishing 3rd in Ligue 1 and reaching the Round of 16 in the Europa League. Matias Fernandez-Pardo was the top scorer in the league. Olivier Giroud, the legendary France international and World Cup winner, brought invaluable experience and leadership to the team and finished as the club's top scorer across all competitions with 11 goals. Young French midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi continued to develop into one of the most exciting prospects in Ligue 1. Edon Zhegrova was consistently one of the most dangerous wide players in the division, while Lucas Chevalier further established himself as one of the best young goalkeepers in France.

Rivalries

Main Rivals

Derby du Nord against RC Lens

The Derby du Nord between LOSC Lille and RC Lens is the biggest rivalry in northern French football. The two clubs are only 40 kilometres apart but they represent completely different worlds. Lille is the bigger, more cosmopolitan city — the commercial hub of the north. Lens is the working-class mining town, proud of its roots and fiercely protective of its identity. That contrast makes every Derby du Nord feel like so much more than just a football match. These two clubs have been battling for the pride of northern France for decades and it shows every time they share a pitch.

Paris Saint-Germain

Lille's rivalry with Paris Saint-Germain took on a whole new dimension in 2021 when Christophe Galtier led the club to the Ligue 1 title ahead of the Parisian giants. Nobody saw it coming. For a club from the north to go to Paris and take the title off the richest team in France — it was a massive moment for French football. Matches between Lille and PSG at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy have produced some of the most intense atmospheres in modern Ligue 1. The record attendance at the ground — 49,712 — was set against PSG in 2019. Whenever these two sides meet, the whole of France is watching.

Minor Rivalries

Valenciennes

There is also a regional rivalry between Lille and Valenciennes, known as the Petit Derby du Nord. Both clubs are from the Hauts-de-France region and when they meet — whether in the top flight or lower divisions — local pride is very much at stake. It's not as fierce as the Lens rivalry, but in the north of France any local derby carries a special edge.
