Stadium information
Name:
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
Capacity:
62,850
Address:
782 High Road, London N17 0BX, UK
Description:
The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium officially opened in March 2019 after some delay, replacing the historic White Hart Lane on the very same site. Built at a cost of around £1 billion, it is regarded as one of the most high-tech football stadiums in the world, designed from the ground up to give supporters the best possible matchday experience. The 62,850 seats make it the third-largest club ground in England, and only some of those fans can book their Tottenham tickets through our secure booking system.
Best way to travel to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
When you've booked your Tottenham tickets it's time to find out how you can get to the stadium. The club advises everybody to take public transport. These are the options you can use to get to the stadium.
By Train and Tube
The stadium is exceptionally well served by rail. White Hart Lane (London Overground) is the closest station, around a five-minute walk from the ground, with frequent trains from Liverpool Street via Seven Sisters. Northumberland Park (Greater Anglia) is also close by. On the Underground, Seven Sisters and Tottenham Hale (both Victoria Line) are roughly a 20 to 25-minute walk and offer excellent connections from central London. After the match, the Overground from White Hart Lane is often quieter than the Victoria Line stations.
By Shuttle Bus
The club runs high-capacity, high-frequency shuttle services from Alexandra Palace and Wood Green stations. These run from around three hours before kick-off until two hours after the match. You are advised not to catch a service less than 50 minutes before kick-off, to allow enough time for travel and security checks at the stadium. Shuttle buses need to be pre-booked.
By Bicycle
Cycling to the stadium is easier than you think. It is a quick and healthy way to make your journey and saves you a lot of money. There is secure bicycle parking around the ground, and the club actively encourages fans to come by bike. On the bicycle you've got all the freedom you need to surpass traffic jams and avoid crowded public transport.
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium guide
The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is one of the most impressive arenas in the English Premier League, and its 62,850 seats are almost always sold out. That's where we come in, we've got you covered with tickets for every single Tottenham match. The stadium is divided into four stands: the South Stand, North Stand, West Stand and East Stand.
South Stand
The South Stand is the heart and soul of the stadium. At 17,500 seats it is the largest single-tier stand in the United Kingdom, designed as a wall of noise behind the goal. With the steepest rake in British football at 35 degrees, every fan feels connected to the action. This is where Spurs' most passionate supporters take their seat, and when they sing "Glory Glory Tottenham Hotspur" in unison it's spine-tingling. Running beneath the stand is the Goal Line Bar, at 65 metres the longest bar in Europe, with floor-to-ceiling windows looking onto the pitch. If you want to experience real English football atmosphere, look for South Stand tickets.
North Stand
On the opposite side of the South Stand, behind the goal at the Park Lane end, you will find the North Stand. The home sections offer excellent behind-goal views with a good atmosphere, particularly in the lower tier close to the pitch. Away supporters are housed in the north-east corner of this stand. Especially on derby days, you will feel the back-and-forth between home and away fans in the North Stand.
West Stand
Running along the west side of the pitch is the West Stand, traditionally known as "The Shelf" after the famous terrace at White Hart Lane. This is where you'll find the players' tunnel, the dugouts, the directors' box and the main TV cameras. The central sections offer arguably the best pure football views in the stadium, with perfect sightlines to both goals. It's a little more about comfort and the classic sideline view here, and the lower tier lets you watch the players emerge from the tunnel up close.
East Stand
Opposite the West Stand sits the East Stand, offering excellent sideline views without the premium pricing of the tunnel side. The three-tier design gives plenty of choice across price points and viewing angles, and the family section is located here, making it a welcoming choice for supporters of all ages. Sections nearer the South Stand corner let you feed off the famous atmosphere while keeping a clear view of both goals.
Which stand should you choose?
It's important to be able to make the best decision when booking your Tottenham tickets. That's why we've created this table with a quick comparison of all four stands. Check what's important to you and you will find the best stand for your wishes.

Other information
Tottenham Hotspur was formed in 1882 as Hotspur F.C. and played in the Southern League between 1896 and 1908. As the first non-league club since the formation of the Football League, they won the FA Cup in 1901. Spurs have been forerunners in many things: after that FA Cup, they became the first club in the 20th century to win the League and FA Cup Double in 1960-61, and in 1963 they became the first British club to win a major European trophy by lifting the European Cup Winners' Cup.
English influences
Tottenham are of course a real English club, but what are the actual English influences at the moment? On the managerial front the club has leaned on foreign coaches for some time, with Ange Postecoglou, Thomas Frank and current boss Roberto De Zerbi all arriving from abroad. The last permanent English manager was Tim Sherwood back in 2014, with academy graduate Ryan Mason since stepping in for caretaker spells. On the pitch things look brighter for the English contingent. Young midfielder Archie Gray has broken into the side and looks like a future England regular, while James Maddison and Conor Gallagher bring senior international experience to the engine room. Up front Dominic Solanke leads the line, and with academy talents like Mikey Moore, Dane Scarlett and Will Lankshear coming through, the English presence at the club is only growing.

Rivalries
Main Rivals
North-London derby against Arsenal
The North-London derby between Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal is one of the fiercest rivalries in the world of football. The rivalry began in 1913 when Arsenal moved their ground to Highbury, just a few miles from Tottenham's White Hart Lane. It escalated in 1919 when Arsenal were voted into the First Division ahead of the Spurs, and it has been one of the biggest derbies in English football ever since. Do you want to attend a North-London derby and experience this rivalry yourself? Browse our ticket inventory and book the best tickets through our secure booking system.
Minor Rivalries
Chelsea
While Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur never considered each other primary rivals, there has always been strong needle between the two sets of fans dating back to the 1967 FA Cup Final. Matches between the teams often drew large crowds, and a 2012 survey showed Chelsea fans considered Tottenham their main rival, while Spurs fans still rank Chelsea as their second rival, below Arsenal.
