Stadium information
Name:
Stade Raymond Kopa
Capacity:
19,800
Address:
Boulevard Pierre de Coubertin, 49000 Angers, France
Description:
The Stade Raymond Kopa is the home of Angers SCO and holds 19,800. It first opened in 1912 and was known as the Stade Jean Bouin until 2017, when it was renamed after Raymond Kopa, the France and Real Madrid great who began his professional career at Angers. The ground is owned by the city of Angers, and the club has rebuilt two of its stands in recent years, the Colombier in 2018 and the Saint-Léonard in 2022, taking the capacity to its current figure. The pitch is an AirFibr hybrid surface. A lucky few of those supporters can book their Angers SCO tickets through our secure booking system.
Best way to travel to the Stade Raymond Kopa
When you've booked your Angers SCO tickets it's time to find out how you can get to the stadium. The Stade Raymond Kopa is close to the centre of Angers, and the local transport is run by Irigo, which puts on extra services on a matchday. These are the options you can use to get to the stadium.
By Train
Angers-Saint-Laud is the city's main railway station, about 3 km from the ground. From there it is roughly a thirty minute walk, or a short bus or taxi ride, and there are regular services from Paris, Nantes and the rest of the region.
By Bus
Irigo runs the city's buses. Lines 1, 5, 10 and 40 stop at Saumuroise, about five minutes on foot from the ground, while lines 7, 8 and 40 stop at the dedicated Stade Raymond Kopa stop, a minute away. On matchdays the club and Irigo run reinforced services, including a special Line 1 service straight to the stadium.
By Tram
The tramway is another option. Take line B to the Montaigne stop, which is about a twenty minute walk from the ground through the centre of the city.
By Car
Parking close to the stadium is limited and the streets around the ground are busy on a matchday, so the club advises using public transport. If you do drive, park further out and finish the journey by bus or tram.
By Bicycle
Dedicated cycle paths connect the stadium to the city centre, and there are secure bike racks near the ground at Rue du Colombier and Boulevard Coubertin. Electric bikes and scooters can also be hired through the Pony service.
Stade Raymond Kopa guide
The Stade Raymond Kopa has four stands set close to the pitch. Below is a guide to each part of the ground. Whichever match you are attending, we've got you covered with tickets for every Angers SCO game.

The Tribune Saint-Léonard is the newest and largest stand, rebuilt in 2022 with around 5,272 seats. It holds the club's hospitality areas and the Le Panoramique restaurant, which looks out over the pitch, and it is the most comfortable part of the ground.
Tribune Colombier
The Tribune Colombier, rebuilt in 2018, is another of the main stands and offers a clear view across the pitch. It is a good choice for a comfortable seat with strong sightlines.
Behind the goals
The stands behind the goals are home to the club's most vocal supporters, where the Angers kop gathers and most of the noise comes from. Head here for the liveliest atmosphere and to be among the home crowd.
Visitors' section
Travelling fans are given a designated section of the ground. If you're following your team to Angers, this is the area to look for, so make sure you pick the "away end" or away section when you book your tickets.
