Man city -Liverpool FA Cup Great service. Would use again. Thanks very much

All staffs from the main entrance to Centre Circle were incredibly friendly. The mighty facility kept being clean and guidance was well-thought and easy to follow. Notably, the experience at Centre Circle was memorable and the one in lifetime. Chicken wing and pasta were the one that I regretted not having second meals. One remark, it has nothing to do with the stadium and game, but it would have been useful for foreign fans if you could state the traffic jam around stadium as I took a bus of 297 from Ealing Broadway and got stuck. It took me two hours to reach, so I missed two hours to spend wonderful time at Centre Circle.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Liverpool tickets | Champions League

Experience one of the most exciting fixtures in the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League as Eintracht Frankfurt welcome Liverpool to the Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt. This league phase encounter promises top-quality European football as two historic clubs battle for crucial points in their quest to progress to the knockout stages.

Liverpool, one of England's most successful clubs with six European Cups to their name, travel to Germany to face a resurgent Eintracht Frankfurt side who are competing in the Champions League for the second time in four seasons. Both teams have shown impressive form domestically and will be determined to secure three vital points in this midweek clash.

The match takes place on Wednesday, 22nd October 2025, with kick-off at 21:00 CEST (20:00 BST) at the Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt. With both teams featuring exciting attacking talent and experienced managers, this fixture promises to deliver entertainment and drama under the lights in one of Germany's most atmospheric stadiums.

Champions League Form and Standings

Liverpool's Champions League Campaign

Liverpool entered the 2025/26 Champions League as reigning Premier League champions and have shown their European pedigree in the opening matches of the league phase. The Reds secured an impressive 3-2 victory over Atletico Madrid at Anfield in their opening fixture, demonstrating their attacking prowess and ability to win tight matches against top opposition.

However, Liverpool suffered a setback in their second match, losing 1-0 away to Galatasaray in Turkey. The defeat in Istanbul highlighted the challenges of away fixtures in the revamped Champions League format, where every point matters in determining final league phase positions.

Despite the loss in Turkey, Liverpool remain well-positioned in the Champions League standings. Their experience in European competition, coupled with the quality of their squad under Arne Slot's management, makes them strong contenders to finish in the top eight and secure automatic qualification for the Round of 16.

Eintracht Frankfurt's European Journey

Eintracht Frankfurt qualified for the 2025/26 Champions League by finishing third in the Bundesliga, marking the first time in the club's history they reached Europe's premier competition via their league position. Die Adler made a sensational start to their campaign with a dominant 5-1 home victory over Galatasaray, with Jonathan Burkardt scoring twice and Can Uzun also finding the net.

The euphoria of their opening victory was tempered by a heavy 5-1 defeat away to Atletico Madrid in their second match. Despite Burkardt's consolation goal, Frankfurt were overwhelmed by the Spanish side's quality at the Metropolitano Stadium. This result demonstrated the step up in quality required to compete consistently at Champions League level.

Currently sitting in the middle of the Champions League table, Frankfurt know that positive results in their remaining fixtures, particularly at home, will be crucial to their hopes of reaching the knockout stages. The Deutsche Bank Park has traditionally been a fortress for Frankfurt in European competitions, and they'll be hoping to use their passionate home support to their advantage against Liverpool.

The New Champions League Format

The 2025/26 season features the expanded 36-team league phase format, where each team plays eight different opponents - four at home and four away. The top eight teams in the final standings qualify directly for the Round of 16, while teams finishing 9th to 24th enter a playoff round to determine the remaining eight spots in the knockout stages.

This format means every match carries significant weight, and both Liverpool and Frankfurt will view this fixture as a must-win opportunity to boost their chances of securing a top-eight finish and avoiding the playoff round.

Key Players to Watch

Liverpool's European Specialists

Mohamed Salah remains Liverpool's most potent attacking weapon and a player who consistently delivers on the biggest European stages. The Egyptian has an exceptional record in the Champions League and will be looking to add to his impressive goal tally. His pace, movement, and clinical finishing make him a constant threat to any defence in Europe.

Florian Wirtz has brought a new dimension to Liverpool's attack since his summer arrival. The creative midfielder's ability to unlock defences with his vision and passing range has made him a key component of Arne Slot's system. In European competition, Wirtz's technical quality and composure on the ball could prove decisive in breaking down Frankfurt's defence.

Virgil van Dijk's leadership and defensive prowess will be crucial in managing Frankfurt's attacking threats. The Dutch captain's experience in Champions League knockout stages and finals provides invaluable composure to Liverpool's backline. His ability to organize the defence and win aerial duels will be vital against Frankfurt's physical forward line.

Frankfurt's German Excellence

Jonathan Burkardt has emerged as Frankfurt's star performer in this Champions League campaign, scoring three goals in the opening two matches. The German striker combines physicality with technical ability and has proven he can score at the highest level. His hold-up play and finishing ability make him Frankfurt's biggest goal threat.

Can Uzun, the young Turkish attacking midfielder, announced his arrival on the Champions League stage with a goal against Galatasaray. His creativity, dribbling ability, and eye for goal add another dimension to Frankfurt's attack. At just 20 years old, Uzun represents the exciting young talent that Frankfurt have developed.

Ansgar Knauff provides pace and width down Frankfurt's flanks. His goal against Galatasaray demonstrated his attacking threat, while his work rate and defensive contribution make him a valuable asset in both phases of play. Against Liverpool's attacking full-backs, Knauff's pace on the counter-attack could create dangerous opportunities.

Deutsche Bank Park: Frankfurt's European Fortress

Stadium Information

The Deutsche Bank Park, formerly known as the Waldstadion and Commerzbank-Arena, is one of Germany's most iconic football stadiums. With a capacity of 51,500 for European matches, the venue creates an intimidating atmosphere for visiting teams. The stadium has hosted numerous memorable European nights, including Frankfurt's Europa League triumph in 2022.

Located in Frankfurt's Stadtwald district, the stadium features excellent facilities and modern amenities for all supporters. The steep stands bring fans close to the action, creating a cauldron of noise that has helped Frankfurt secure many famous European victories over the years.

Matchday Atmosphere

Frankfurt supporters are renowned throughout Europe for their passionate support and impressive choreographies. The Nordwestkurve, home to Frankfurt's most vocal fans, creates spectacular displays and generates an electric atmosphere on European nights. When the floodlights come on at the Deutsche Bank Park for Champions League football, the stadium transforms into one of the most intimidating venues in European football.

Liverpool fans traveling to Frankfurt can expect a hostile but respectful atmosphere. The mutual respect between both sets of supporters, rooted in their clubs' European pedigrees, typically creates a competitive but friendly matchday environment.

How to Get to Deutsche Bank Park

By Train

Frankfurt is excellently connected by rail, with Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof (main station) serving as a major European transport hub. From the Hauptbahnhof, take S-Bahn lines S7, S8, or S9 to Frankfurt Stadion station, which is located directly next to the Deutsche Bank Park. The journey takes approximately 15-20 minutes.

For international visitors, Frankfurt Airport is one of Europe's largest aviation hubs and is connected directly to the city center and stadium via S-Bahn trains. The airport's Regionalbahnhof station provides convenient access to the S-Bahn network.

By Car

If driving to the stadium, use the address: Mörfelder Landstraße 362, 60528 Frankfurt am Main for your navigation system. However, parking at the stadium is extremely limited on matchdays. We strongly recommend using public transport or park-and-ride facilities located on the city's outskirts.

By Tram

Tram line 21 runs from Frankfurt city center to the stadium. This is a convenient option if you're staying in the Sachsenhausen or city center areas. The tram stops directly at the stadium, making it an easy journey on matchday.

Accommodation in Frankfurt

Frankfurt offers a wide range of accommodation options to suit all budgets. The city center, particularly around the Hauptbahnhof and Römerberg areas, provides excellent hotel options with easy access to public transport. The Sachsenhausen district, located south of the Main River, offers a more traditional atmosphere with numerous restaurants and bars.

For Champions League matches, we recommend booking accommodation well in advance as hotels fill up quickly. Areas with good S-Bahn connections to Frankfurt Stadion station are particularly convenient for matchday travel.

Tactical Preview

Liverpool's Approach

Under Arne Slot, Liverpool have maintained their traditional high-pressing style while adding more control and possession-based elements. The Reds typically dominate the ball and create chances through quick combination play in the final third. Their full-backs push high to provide width, while the midfield trio controls the tempo of matches.

In away fixtures in Europe, Liverpool have shown they can adapt their approach, becoming more pragmatic when necessary while retaining the ability to hurt opponents on the counter-attack. Their experience in Champions League knockout stages gives them a mental edge in high-pressure European encounters.

Frankfurt's Game Plan

Eintracht Frankfurt under their current management employ an aggressive, high-energy style that seeks to press opponents and create turnovers in dangerous areas. They're comfortable playing on the counter-attack but can also control possession when needed, particularly at home.

Frankfurt's strength lies in their direct attacking play and ability to exploit space behind opposition defenses. With Burkardt's physical presence and Knauff's pace, they pose a constant threat in transition. At home, Frankfurt will look to use their passionate support to create an intense atmosphere that unsettles Liverpool's rhythm.
