Roy Hodgson's England side has won a point in a 0-0 draw with Ukrainev, which sees them stay top of World Cup qualifying Group H. Ukraine began the better in the Kiev clash but Arsenal man, Theo Walcott, came closest to opening the scoring early on. England's defence looked nervy in those opening exchanges but the team settled as the first half moved on. Ukraine had a number of second hand chances, with Andriy Yarmolenko, Yevhen Konoplyanka and Artem Fedetsky all coming close, before Theo Walcott missed from a clever pass from Kyle Walker. Argentina, Italy, Netherlands and USA qualify
Elsewhere in the qualifying campaigns, Argentina, Italy, Netherlands and USA have confirmed their places for the finals in Brazil 2014. A total of nine teams have now made it to the final stage to be joined by hosts, Brazil. Japan, Australia, Iran and South Korea qualify from the Asian qualifying groups, while Costa Rica join the USA from the CONCACAF region.
