FC Barcelona and Real Madrid set up Copa del Rey showdown

Barcelona to Play Real Madrid in Copa Del Rey Final

Real Madrid will have to fend off a very strong Barcelona team if they wish to lift the Copa Del Rey trophy. If the semi finals matches are any indication then things are not looking too good for the Real Madrid team at the moment. But we all know how Jose Mourinho is capable of weaving pure magic, no matter which team he is being associated with.

Barcelona hardly looked threatened by UD Almeria during their semi final outing. They emphatically registered a 3-0 win against their opposition in an away game having already won the home leg by 5-0 earlier in January. This resulted in an aggregate of 8-0 goals in favour of Barcelona.

In comparison, Real Madrid huffed and puffed all the way through, against Sevilla. Late goals from Mesut Özil and Emmanuel Adebayor proved to be face-savers for them on their home ground. They recorded a 3-0 aggregate after this match as they have already won their first outing against the same opposition.

Real Madrid is currently seven points behind Barcelona and the latter is in the middle of a record streak of wins. So, lifting the Copa Del Rey Cup would provide much needed confidence to the players and joy to the club's supporters.
