Recently bought England World Cup tickets. Had trouble with the FIFA app so couldn’t transfer the tickets to my name. Livefootballtickets were brilliant and very helpful. Very fast help through the email comms and all sorted very quickly. Communication and customer service support is top notch. 100%, 5 star!!!⭐

Superb! Easy to purchase a ticket. I had a live customer service chat once, the staff member was so polite, helpful and informative. I loved the communication after purchase. On the match day they contacted me on WhatsApp if I want an upgrade on my tickets for free and after my confirmation I got my tickets within a minute. Great experience, thank you.

This is the best and most trusted website to get your tickets to any world event. I have used them 3 times throughout the years, I have used other sites for football matches and they are so transparent and fast, the first time I used them was in 2018 for a Roma match and then made the mistake to use a different site for the PSG match in April and they were terrible, from the website, customer service and responses. this is the only site I trust and use!

Bought 2 Club Wembley tickets less than 48 hours before the Championship Play Off Final. Good communication and tickets arrived the following day by email. No problems getting into the stadium and seats were great. Unfortunately my team’s performance was the only let down. Would definitely use this company again.

It was easier than I thought to find a group of seven seats together and very simple to book. Communication was excellent, the tickets were sent quickly and were easy to access, so no problems at the stadium. Seats were good and we had a great view. Everything worked well and I'll definitely be back for tickets again - many thanks!

FA Community Shield 2026 venue

The FA Community Shield has been hosted at Wembley Stadium since 1974, but a handful of editions have been staged elsewhere. For 2026, the showpiece returns to Cardiff's Principality Stadium for the first time since 2006, as Wembley is unavailable that weekend. The retractable-roof Welsh national stadium previously hosted the fixture six times between 2001 and 2006 while Wembley was being rebuilt.

  • Principality Stadium (Cardiff) – hosted six editions from 2001 to 2006, and returns to stage the fixture again.
  • Villa Park (Birmingham) – staged the 2012 edition while London hosted the Summer Games.
  • King Power Stadium (Leicester) – hosted the 2022 edition as Wembley prepared for the UEFA Women's Euro final.

The Community Shield has been a constant in English football for over a century, and the all-time list is dominated by the country's biggest clubs. Manchester United lead the way with a record 21 Shields, having also appeared in the fixture more times than anyone else. Arsenal follow on 17, with Liverpool close behind on 16. In 2025, Crystal Palace shocked Liverpool, winning their first-ever Community Shield on penalties after a 2–2 draw at Wembley.

Community Shield legends & stars

Given the calibre of clubs that contest it, the Community Shield has featured many of the game's greatest players over the years. Stars such as Thierry Henry, Frank Lampard, Cristiano Ronaldo, Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne have played a big part in battles for the Community Shield. With the Premier League champions and FA Cup winners facing each other, you know you’re up for a treat with this match.

Community Shield 2026: stars to watch

When Arsenal plays against Manchester City, we all know we’re going to see some of the biggest stars in World football live in action. However for this edition there is one precatious. With the World Cup being played, some of these players might miss out on this match. There are only 28 days between the World Cup final and the Community Shield. If any of these players go all the way, it’s unlikely they will start in the Community Shield. :

  • Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) – One of Arsenal’s onwn players. Saka is made in Hale End and is one of the main players for both Arsenal and England. He is the type of player who lights up on the biggest occasions.
  • Martin Ødegaard (Arsenal) – Norway's captain and the creative heartbeat of the Premier League champions.
  • Declan Rice (Arsenal) – the versatile England midfielder who has become a leader at the heart of the Gunners' side. Last season he wasn;t just the lock on the door in front of the defenders, but also a treat with goals and assists.
  • Erling Haaland (Manchester City) – one of the most lethal strikers in world football and City's main goal threat. After his debut on the World Cup, he will be ready to show even more how good he is.
  • Rayan Cherki (Manchester City) – a rare creative talent who sees and does things few other players can. Cherki is the type of player people buy tickets for. As part of France’ World Cup squad, Cherki is likely to go deep in to the tournament.

For Manchester City this match has a special dimension. For the first time in over 10 years, Pep Guardiola isn’t at the helm. It’s now Enzo Maresca who will try to lead the club to more silverware.

History

In the 1908-1909 season the Community Shield started as a replacement of the Sheriff of London Charity Shield. It started as the FA Charity Shield. In 1930 they introduced the current format where the champions play the FA Cup winners. It was Ted Croker who moved the fixture to a permanent home at Wembley Stadium in 1974. However this year the match will be played at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, due to the concerts of The Weeknd at Wembley on the same day. In 2002 they changed the name into the FA Community Shield.

Format

The format for this match is pretty simple. The winner of the previous Premier League season plays against the FA Cup winners. When both are won by the same club, the Premier League runners-up will be the second team in the Community Shield. In 1993 they stopped sharing the trophy, whenever it’s a draw after 90 minuters, penalties will decide who wins the trophy. Three of the last 6 events were decide by penalties.

A match for charity

The match isn’t just the opener of a new season, it’s also a way to raise money for good causes. The proceeds from this match are distrusted amongst clubs that took part in the FA Cup from the first round onwards. Each club can nominate charities or community projects which they believe should receive the funds. The remaining money will go to the FA’s national charity partners.

Why the Community Shield matters

Even though it’s seem as a glorified friendly, it’s an important match for the teams involved. This is there chance to kick the season off with silverware. At the same time it’s the perfect opportunity to make a statement of intent. When two big rivals meet in this match, it’s the chance to immediately put down a mark. For fans of both clubs it’s also good to be back at there club. Most of them enjoyed the summer and watching the World Cup, but can’t wait to actually support their club again. That’s why we see the demand for Community Shield tickets is always high.
