How the Europa League play-offs work
There are two separate play-off stages in the competition. The first comes at the end of qualifying, in late August: clubs that have come through the earlier qualifying rounds meet over two legs, and the winners take the last places in the league phase while the losers move across to the Conference League.
The second is the knockout phase play-off in February. After the league phase, in which 36 clubs each play eight matches in a single table, the top eight go straight to the last sixteen. The clubs finishing ninth to twenty-fourth enter the play-off round, again over two legs, with the higher-ranked sides seeded and playing the return at home. The eight winners join the top eight in the last sixteen, and everyone else is out.

Seating categories
Category 1 seats are usually located along the sides of the pitch and offer the best all-round view of play. Category 2 and 3 seats sit behind the goals or higher in the stands, and are the more affordable option for supporters who want to be in the ground and part of the atmosphere. Availability per category depends entirely on what sellers list, and European fixtures often use a different layout to domestic matches at the same ground.
