Watch football in Poland
Football in Poland is a much loved game despite the national team's inconsistent performance. In their glory days the national team of Poland qualified for 1974 World Cup. The Polish team defeated Brazil 1-0 to earn a well-deserved third place and Grzegorz Lato won the golden boot for his seven goals in the tournament. They also held England to a draw at Webley Stadium in 1970. The topmost division of Polish football league is known as Ekstraklasa. Sixteen clubs participate in Ekstraklasa and fight for the title. Clubs such as Polonia Warszawa, Legia Warsawa, Wisla Krakow, Lech Poznan are backed by huge fan following. The National Stadium at Warsaw with its 58,500 capacity happens to be the largest stadium of Poland.
