VfL Bochum represents the city of Bochum, North Rhine Westphalia's one of most prominent towns. The club was established in 1848 and currently plays in Bundesliga 2nd division. Football matches in Bochum take place in Ruhrstadion. VFL is the owner of the stadium and also uses it as their home ground.
