Copa del Rey Final: Barcelona 1-2 Real Madrid

Gareth Bale netted an amazing solo goal to help Real Madrid win the Copa del Rey final against arch-rivals Barcelona 2-1 last night at the Mestalla Stadium in Valencia.

Angel Di Maria had opened the scoring early in the first half but Marc Bartra header in the 68th minute levelled matters.

It seemed the game was heading into extra time when Gareth Bale knocked the ball forward and ran faster than anyone along the left line to get one-on-one with Pinto and squeeze the ball into the bottom corner with 5 minutes remaining on the clock.

Neymar could have levelled the score back again in the dying moments but his effort from close range came back off the post.
