Tough World Cup 2014 Group for England
Reigning World Champions Spain will kick of their defence of the title with a tie against beaten 2010 finalists the Netherlands in Salvador on 12th June.In what is looking like one of the competition's toughest groups, Chile and Australia complete the line-up. However, England also face a stern test in Brazil, as they were drawn in Group D alongside Italy, Costa Rica and Uruguay. There is a glimmer of hope on the horizon though, as making it out of the group will result in a relatively easy second round tie against Colombia, Greece, Japan or the Ivory Coast.Elsewhere in the draw, hosts Brazil will get the party underway with a tricky game against Croatia in group A. Mexico and Cameroon complete what is another tricky qualifying group.Group D includes one of the favourites to win this year's World Cup - Germany. But they will need to get the better of Portugal, the United States and Ghana if they want to reach the knock-out stages of the competition. Argentina will also be hoping that 2014 could be their year, as they seem to have a relatively straightforward path to the last 16 - consisting of games against Iran, Nigeria and World Cup debutants Bosnia Herzegovina. You can buy FIFA World Cup tickets securely right here.
