Tottenham's August 2026 starts about as far from N17 as it is possible to get โ a London derby in Sydney โ and ends with a Saturday evening at home to Newcastle United. In between come three low-key friendlies and a short trip across London to open the Premier League season at Brentford.
Here is the full month, fixture by fixture. Everything listed is covered on our Tottenham Hotspur tickets page.

Pre-season
Chelsea v Tottenham โ 1 August, Sydney
The Sydney Super Cup takes a London derby to Accor Stadium, the 83,500-capacity ground built for the 2000 Olympics and comfortably the largest venue Spurs will play in all month. For Australian supporters it is the closest thing to a genuine derby atmosphere without a twenty-hour flight; for anyone travelling from the UK, it is a serious commitment for a pre-season fixture.
The stadium sits in Sydney Olympic Park, around twenty-five minutes from Central Station on the T7 line. This is also Chelsea's opening fixture of the summer.
Tottenham v Getafe โ 8 August, Hotspur Way
A closed-doors run-out against Getafe at the club's Enfield training ground. Fixtures at Hotspur Way are not open sales in the way a stadium match is โ access is restricted, and this one is best understood as a training exercise rather than a matchday.
Tottenham v TSG Hoffenheim โ 15 August, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
The one pre-season fixture supporters can properly attend. TSG Hoffenheim visit Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on a Saturday afternoon, a week before the league begins, and it is the realistic way into the ground if league availability has been a problem.
Pre-season fixtures see far wider availability than Premier League matches, when season-ticket holders account for the vast majority of seats. The stadium is served by White Hart Lane on the Overground and Seven Sisters and Tottenham Hale on the Victoria line.
Tottenham v TSG Hoffenheim โ 16 August, Hotspur Way
The two sides meet twice in two days, with the second fixture back at the training ground the following lunchtime. Expect the players who did not feature on the Saturday. As with the Getafe match, this one is not a public occasion.
Premier League: the opening two fixtures
Brentford v Tottenham โ 22 August, Gtech Community Stadium
The season opens with a short trip west. The Gtech is one of the smallest grounds in the division, which cuts both ways: the atmosphere is close and loud, and the away allocation is correspondingly tight. Brentford have made this a consistently awkward fixture since promotion.
Kew Bridge is the nearest overground station, a few minutes' walk from the ground, with Brentford and South Ealing also within reach. Listings for the Gtech Community Stadium tend to move quickly for a fixture this size โ book early and be sure to select the away section.
Tottenham v Newcastle United โ 29 August, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
The first home league fixture of the season, and a good one: Spurs against Newcastle United has a genuine claim to being the Premier League's most reliably entertaining fixture. It is the most-played meeting in the competition's history never to finish goalless โ every single league encounter between the two has produced at least one goal.
A 17:30 Saturday kick-off gives you the full day in London beforehand, and Newcastle always travel in numbers. Seats are on our Tottenham v Newcastle United page.
Planning your trip
- Only one pre-season fixture is a proper matchday. The Hoffenheim game on 15 August is the one at the stadium; the Getafe and second Hoffenheim fixtures are at the training ground with restricted access.
- Two 17:30 Saturday kick-offs. Both league fixtures finish around 19:20 โ comfortable for London travel, tighter if you are heading further afield.
- Away allocations are limited. The Gtech is among the smallest grounds in the league, so the Brentford away end is one of the harder tickets of the opening month.
- Dates can move. Both Premier League fixtures are subject to television rescheduling, usually confirmed several weeks ahead.
