Then Ajax was playing first on Saturday and beat Willem II 1-4 to put the pressure on PSV who were playing the next day on Sunday. They played Vitesse away and needed a 91st-minute equalizer to salvage a point. This means that Ajax are now top of the Eredivisie on goal difference. PSV also still have to play AZ away on the last day of the season, who are battling for third place with Feyenoord and will be a very tricky end to their season. Ajax are now in the driving seat and are in control of their own fate.
