Man City wins first prize of the season

Pep Guardiola continues where he left things at the end of last season. Winning prices with a very dominant Manchester City. The Spanish manager missed some important players, but he showed the squad depth is very good at the Etihad Stadium. Man City defeated Chelsea thanks to two goals by top striker Sergio Aguero. Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea isn’t near anything they need to be to compete for the title this season.

Man City played with 5 players (Kyle Walker, Fernandinho, Bernardo Silva, Sergio Aguero and Leroy Sane) who were regulars in the title winning team last season. Their only signing of the season so far Riyad Mahrez made his official debut for the Citizens. The many Man City fans on the stands were happy to see academy graduate Phil Foden from the very first minute. Manchester City played just like they did last season, even without the likes of Kevin de Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and David Silva. This match proved the Citizens are one of the favourites for the title this season.

Pep’s team dominated the match for the start. It was no surprise that Argentinian striker Sergio Augero was the one that opened the score in the 13th minute. He showed some very early form in this match. In the 58th minute it was once again Sergio Aguero. The 2-0 truly meant the end of this match. This Chelsea wasn’t able to score two goals in 30 minutes against Manchester City.

This is going to be a very important week for especially the Blues. The transfer window is open until Thursday. Several top Chelsea players are wanted by top teams in Europe. When they need to sell Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois it’s going to be a very hard season for Chelsea. If they can keep these players and buy some enforcements things can turn to the positive.
