Review on Trustpilot
Nick Urwin from the UK sourced tickets for the Chelsea Super Cup final.
Nick left us this review: Sourced two tickets for the Chelsea Super Cup game and, having never used a football ticket website before, was a bit worried it was all legit... but all good. Paid a bit extra for the tickets but it worked perfectly, good correspondence by email with updates, and when the tickets were released the procedure for getting them was really clear and easy... Highly recommend Livefootballtickets!
Review on Trustpilot
HB from Lebanon travelled to the Istanbul Super Cup final and used our hotel delivery service.
HB left us this review: I bought tickets for the Istanbul Super Cup final on 14 August with the hotel delivery service. When I arrived at the hotel, my tickets weren't there due to a local bank holiday issue in Turkey. The online support and the delivery that was made on the same day as the match were remarkable. Great service, to be honest. Best game I've watched; the seating was awesome.

European Super Cup 2026 venue
For 2026, the European Super Cup heads to the Red Bull Arena in Salzburg – the first time the fixture has ever been staged in Austria. The home of FC Salzburg is a modern, compact arena that previously hosted matches at a major international tournament in 2008, and its roughly 30,000-seat capacity means demand for tickets will far outstrip supply for this one-off showpiece.
| Match | Date | Venue | Location | Capacity |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Paris Saint-Germain vs Aston Villa | Wednesday, 12 August 2026 | Red Bull Arena | Salzburg, Austria | 30,000 |

European Super Cup host cities
Unlike domestic showpieces with a fixed home, the European Super Cup moves to a different neutral venue every year. Recent editions have taken the fixture across the continent:
- Salzburg (Austria) – hosts the 2026 edition at the Red Bull Arena, a first for Austria.
- Udine (Italy) – staged the 2025 edition at the Stadio Friuli.
- Warsaw (Poland) – hosted the 2024 edition.
- Athens (Greece) – hosted the 2023 edition.
- Helsinki (Finland) – hosted the 2022 edition.
European Super Cup winners & records

Real Madrid lead the way with a record six titles, followed by AC Milan and Barcelona on five each and Liverpool on four. This year's finalists both have history in the competition: Paris Saint-Germain are the reigning holders after winning their first title in 2025, while Aston Villa lifted the trophy once before, all the way back in 1982.

History
Dutch journalist Anton Witkamp invented the European Supercup in 1971. He had the idea to have one match to settle once and for all which team was the best of Europe. What better way to decide by letting both European cup winners battle it out?
Format
The format is a pretty simple one. The winner of the Champions League face the Europa League winners in a single match at a neutral venue chosen in advance. If the scores are level after 90 minutes, the match now goes straight to a penalty shoot-out to decide the winners – the extra-time period used in earlier years was scrapped from 2023 onwards. Three of the last six editions have been settled from the spot.
Why the European Super Cup matters
Even though some see it as a glorified friendly, it's an important match for the teams involved. It's the first chance to lift silverware in the new season and the perfect opportunity to make a statement of intent. For the winners of the Champions League and the Europa League, it's a chance to prove they belong at the very top of European football. For fans of both clubs it's also a brilliant way to start the campaign – a trip abroad, a one-off final, and the first trophy of the year up for grabs. That's why demand for European Super Cup tickets is always high.
