English Premiership: Palace 0-2 Arsenal | Liverpool 4-1 West Brom

Crystal Palace 0-2 Arsenal

Managerless Crystal Palace couldn't take advantage of a ten-man Arsenal, losing 2-0 at Selhurst Park. Mikel Arteta put the Gunners one up two minutes after the break. Adlene Guedioura brought down Gnabry in the box and Arteta converted the spot-kick. Arteta was dismissed 18 minutes later for a professional foul on Marouane Chamakh and Palace dug deep to try and find a reply. Joel Ward nearly equalised, but his shot hit the crossbar and Mile Jedinak hit a sweet volley that forced a magnificent save from Wojciech Szczesny. Olivier Giroud sealed the late win for Arsenal, heading in an Aaron Ramsey cross from close range three minutes from time.

Liverpool 4-1 West Bromwich Albion /h2]

Luis Suarez entertained the Anfield faithful, scoring a delightful hat-trick in a 4-1 win over West Brom. He got his first in the 11th minute with a fine run that took him past three West Brom defenders before he found the bottom of the net. He got his second six minutes later when keeper Boaz Myhill couldn't save his powerful header. Suarez and Daniel Sturridge kept the pressure up after the break and Suarez was guaranteed the match-ball in the 55th minute when he nodded in Steven Gerrard's free-kick. West Brom won a dubious penalty which James Morrison put away, but it wasn't enough to inspire a comeback and Sturridge chipped the keeper in the 77th minute to send the Liverpool fans home happy.
