Track TicketsAs Brendan Rodgers is continuing to mould his Anfield squad, rumours are circulating that Stewart Downing could be the next Liverpool player to be given the boot. Some media sources are suggesting that Newcastle has confirmed their express interest in the 29 year old who was signed from Aston Villa for a £20m price tag just two years ago. While there hasn't been any contact with the Liverpool team, it is believed that offers in the region of £5m will be very tempting to the Magpies. From Tottenham Hotspur to Arsenal, a full range of tickets are available on LiveFootballTickets.Downing was reassured by Rodgers during the pre-season that he was to remain part of the manager's plans for Anfield, but after learning of Liverpool's apparent willingness to offer him to another club, he intends to hold talks about his future. Newcastle will already be signing Remy on for a season as a QPR loan. They're also looking into striking a deal for Darren Bent. Downing has remained a substitute for the last two games played by his club, although he played in the three recent friendlies against Indonesia, Melbourne and Preston. In attacking roles, Aspa, Sterling and Coutinho have been selected ahead of Downing. Downing will be flying to Norway as part of the Liverpool squad when the team faces Valerenga.
