Ronaldo, Messi and Iniesta Nominated for the Ballon d'or

The three finalists for this year's Ballon d'or are Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Andres Iniesta - a clean sweep for La Liga. The three finalists came from a shortlist of 23 names, which included the Premier League's Mario Balotelli, Sergio Aguero and Yaya Toure - all three of whom will attend the prestigious presentation on 7th January. The clear favourite for this year's award is Barcelona's Messi - who took the prize in 2009, 2010 and 2011. The little Argentinian has scored an astonishing 82 goals since the turn of year - a feat that leaves him just three shy of Gerd Muller's world record. However, 2008 winner Cristiano Ronaldo will provide stiff competition for the World Player of the Year Award. The man from Portugal has scored 60 times so far this year - helping Real Madrid to a place in the Champions' League semi-final.Lionel Messi's Barcelona team-mate Andres Iniesta does have a significant advantage over his rivals for the Ballon d'or, however. The Spanish legend is the only player with a World Cup to his name, as well as his two European Championship winner's medals. History now awaits Messi, who will become the first player in history to win FIFA's Player of the Year award four times. Meanwhile, the nominees for this year's Coach of the Year are Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho and the coach of the Spanish national side Vincente del Bosque.La Liga tickets are available right here, including tickets for Barcelona and tickets for Real Madrid.
