The 2023-2024 season rapidly approaches the end of the season. The regular season of course since we’ve also got the Euro 2024 tournament in the summer. But for club football it’s only a few more weeks of football. In this article we look at some of the most exciting upcoming finals this season.

FA Cup final Manchester derby

The biggest upcoming final in England is the FA Cup final. Last season it was the first ever Manchester derby in the final, this season it’s once against a Manchester derby. The second consecutive Manchester derby FA Cup final is going to be something special. Last season it was Gundogan with an early goal in the first half and one in the second half, who won the match for Manchester City. Is it going to be different this time? Championship play-off final

The second most important final of English football this summer, is the Championship play-off final. Leicester City just won the Championship and is the first team to get promoted to the Premier League. The battle for the second spot is really on. Leeds United and Ipswich Town have choked in the title race. Both teams only won one out of their last 5 matches. This gave Leicester the lead they needed, but now it’s up to Ipswich and Leeds to get the second spot. Both are equal on points, but Ipswich has two to play, while Leeds only plays 1 more match. The team that finishes third, will join Southampton and Norwich city in the play-offs. West Bromwich Albion looks the most likely to complete the line-up, but Hull City also still has a small chance. The winners of both semi-finals will play the Championship play-off final at Wembley.

Conference League final

English football has been spoiled over the last season with the performances of English teams in Europe. This year it’s only Aston Villa that’s still left. The Villans are in the Conference League semi-finals, in which they will face Olympiakos.
