Argentina was determined to decide this match in regular time. Lionel Messi and Julian Alvarez both scored between minute 34 and 39 to give Argentina a 2-0 lead at half-time. A great solo by Messi in the second half led to the assist on Alvarez for the 3-0. This was more than enough for Argentina to beat Croatia. With this result Lionel Messi goes to his second World Cup final. His last ever match for his country will be the final of a World Cup, is he going to win it?
France versus Morocco
France is the reigning World Cup and they are showing it wasn’t a fluke. They reached the semi-final already this tournament and faced Morocco in this semi-final. Morocco, the first ever African country to reach this far during a World Cup tournament. They came into this match to keep a cleansheet as long as possible. Six minutes in the match Morocco needed a change of tactics, after Theo Hernandez opened the score for France. Kolo Muani came on the pitch in the 79th minute and doubled France’s lead within seconds after entering the pitch. This was the final goal and France won with 2-0 against Morocco.
2022 Qatar World Cup final
The World Cup Final is a match we’ve seen before. It’s the third time these two teams meet each other during the World Cup. The last time was in 2018, when France beat Argentina with 4-3 in the round of 16.
